Please read before hiring D & A Designs! If you are looking for a contractor who will give you the best bang for your buck, then this is the contractor for youThis contract company came to my home, listened (patiently) to me describe the type of work I wanted completed, and turned my ideas into an unimaginable “work of art” at a low costThey understand the term “on a budget” and they are not pushy sales people eitherI was kept abreast of the work being completed throughout the entire processMy opinions mattered! The business owners and their contract workers were always pleasant and professionalI appreciate the manner in which both owners treated my home and most importantly my familyI have had several other companies visit my home and provide quotes and each of them gave a price that not only was higher but their end product (via the pictures they showed) were plan, simple, and of a “cookie cutter” qualityI loved coming home and seeing the transformation of my homeThese contractors definitely are passionate about the work they do and have a gift of being able to make your ideas “POP”Their services are so amazing; I have already hired them to work on another projectAnother great quality is their ability to communicate via email and textI am often in meetings during the day and cannot easily accept telephone calls, so the ease of using technology works for meIf you are looking for a contractor to enter your home and passively listen to your desires, give you quick measurements without a smile, and charge you big bucks for every minor adjustment or request; do not hire this contractorGo with the “Average Joe”; which D & A Designs is positively not

The bathroom is incomplete due to Ms*** wanting us to reorder new tile when she changed her mind on the initial tile she agreed and we paid forWe explained the tile was special order tile and would take an additional two weeks to come inShe consentedMs*** alleges she has had no shows, we are only granted access to her home and allowed entry Saturday's and Sunday's only from to per her requestWhen the tile was ordered half the shipment came in broken it was reordered and henceforth is scheduled for delivery this SatirdatMs*** has three other working bathrooms and henceforth chose to delay the project by changing the tile, requesting we order special order tile and limiting accessShe wants us to work this Easter Sunday we are active Christians, parents to our elementary kid and teenager and are willing to work our one day of access granted on Saturday but requested access next week during working hours and not her restricted hours to complete her projectShe is without a bathroom not due to our negligence but due to her choice of changing tile, requesting special order tile which she clearly communicated and agreed upon and limited accessAgain, I am asking that you remove this information from your website and I am more than happy to provide proof of communication as well as proof of the special order tile, the changes and proof of the delayed shipment and proof of being granted limited access to the job siteWe have been ready willing and able to complete the job if the materials were not changed, if they were not special order and if access was grantedAlthough she is our valued customer, she cannot play a victim when her choices contributed to the delays and she was clearly communicated of such

We have been in contact with *** ***The specialty high glazed laminate flooring that was selected by *** *** was backordered reflecting in a change of start dates due to the specialty flooring and the transit time being shipped from the West CoastThis has been communicated to *** *** and due

D&A designs, Llc is fully licensedThe contract specified paversThe client opted not to get pavers in her homeI have numerous texts and emails that state we are more than willing to give her her pavers but she opted not to get themDue to the fact that *** received a discount of over
$from her initial quoted price, I informed her that she could not get a refund for a service that she opted not to get because the contract was already discounted by $I asked several times if we could install her pavers and her last response was no don't install paversAs far as permits, *** *** instructed our company not to pull any permits because she is illegally renting her house like two units and in accordance with county code, she knowingly was not in compliance and did not want to put this on the county's radar since she was illegally renting her home as two unitsFurthermore, her installing a seperate washer and dryer upstairs in her illegal rental unit, would require additional electrical which gas nothing to do with my companyShe opted to get this done with another company and we don't see why we would have to pay nor be penalized for an option she had with another company to install a new electrical panel to withstand the load of another washer and dryer in her illegal unitAt best, I would be willing to pay the $in good faith for her electrician but not the pavers she opted not to get but install her pavers as stated in the contract as I have been trying to do but she opted not to getI will attach my money order for the $as a resolution to the disputeDereky H***

The clients were never mixed up! There was a mere typo for the automatic spelling of the clients last name. Bullied the client into money, the client gave me money to start her job then requested my address to send me additional funding at her discretion, I never asked for it! I was shocked when she was sending additional funding and she was well aware of the start date in which after we purchased drywall materials she cancelled the contract after rescheduling services. Daughter missing, I have visited the clients home over an hour away on several occasions to go over the scope of work, had workers scheduled three times each time for her to reschedule. If I bullied a client into money, why would the client text me to ask for my address to send me additional money I never asked for at her discretion. I have over 45 positive ratings on both this site and various and this is a bogus complaint of a client that changed her mind after setting start dates three times and I responded that a refund would be granted after we purchased materials and scheduled workers on multiple occasions. me. Reese's is a compulsive liar and I have all text messages do prove her instability in her complaint.

[redacted] has contacted me within the past year. We have been out to Baltimore on four occasions to review and commence work. Each time we were ready to commence [redacted] cancelled in the day of, henceforth causing us to reschedule multiple times after crews scheduled and materials orders. [redacted]...

alleges we didn't know the scope of work, she has a clear detailed scope of work in which we sent to her in writing and did a walk they with her on two occasions. [redacted] sent 3000 as a deposit, we were scheduled to start in August she postponed three times the final time after the postponeponent we had to delay another two weeks due to the fact of her changing so many times and crews being rescheduled. She was aware of this and agreed. So much so, she sent me a text message I am happy to provide stating, I am sending you another 2000 so we can get more work done when you start. I indicated we would start in two weeks due to multiple schedule cancellations by [redacted]. She agreed and even mailed money to my business address texting me that she was doing so go get more work done. Out of the blue she cancelled demanding her money I kept asking why she stated she had to move then she said she didn't own the house when she clearly always stated she did I have all documentation I stated we purchased materials and within 30 days she would get a refund and the materials purchased delivered.

They are not license in Maryland or DC. They do not complete work. They are not professional.

This complaint is absolutely false and bogus. Ms. [redacted] has always communicated via email and thus for a paper trail, and since this has always been a method of communication, we have communicated via email. She has received responses via email and I can attach proof of the status of her project....

Ms. [redacted] does not provide access to her home at all only when she is there during weekends so to state the project has exceeded four weeks is false. When we are only allotted weekends to work, a true representation is that the project is going into its 4th weekend only can work Saturday and Sunday and 6th working day allotment. Ms. [redacted] signed a contract for a basic bathroom installation. We agreed on a specific tile and upon purchasing the tile Ms. [redacted] decided to change mud stream and select another tile which had to be special ordered and repaid for. We informed this would delay her project a few weekends. She agreed as long as she received the new special order tile she wanted. I was in communication last week that her tile had not come in and the workers were limited in what they could do and finish and everytime I try the alternative method of communicating with Ms. [redacted] via telephone she yells, Screams and I can't get a word in so I send her evidence in writing that her tile has been ordered from the vendor. Her special order tile came in over the weekend with one box broken. I informed Ma. [redacted] of this via email to show an explanation from the tile warehouse that it will be reordered immediately and we would return next weekend (keep in mind she only wants us to work weekends) with her tile once the new box arrived. So to state she hasn't heard from us is a lie. I will send you the emails of communication and emails proving we only have limited access and limited timeframes we are permitted to work per her choice. Once the tile comes in this weekend, we are ready, willing, and able to complete the project and this has always been communicated to her.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The response is completely false and filled with lies. First and foremost, the business license on my contract is not issued to Dereky M[redacted] nor her company D & A Design it  is under the name of Derek B[redacted].  I did business with Dereky M[redacted], D & A Design as stated on my contract. In regards to the statement that I opted not to get permits and completely false. I have a recorded voice mail message from Dereky M[redacted] saying first that I decided not to get permits then she goes on to state that we never discussed permits. Of which the latter is correct. We never had a conversation regarding permits at any time during our conversation. In her own words she admits to this. I was completely unaware that I needed a permits therefore I never brought the idea up. However, if Dereky M[redacted] is licensed why would she do something unethical as to not use her "license" to do the right thing and obtain permits.  Also, Dereky M[redacted] agreed to first paying me $950 which she has now changed. She also had a person posing as a lawyer(V T[redacted] a lawyer allegedly handles family law)contact me via email offering a settle to my amount "demanded" in my correspondence to the Revdex.com. As I attempted to reply I received an error email saying the "lawyer" email was invalid. Dereky M[redacted] has demonstrated illegal business ethics throughout this entire ordeal. I have text messages, email, and voicemail messages of her giving threats and also admission of her taking illegal photos of my home. None of which she had authorization to do. I will be more than happy to submit text messages, emails, and voicemails that she left. As I NOW have documented proof of her bait and switch mentality and illegal business ethics. Dereky M[redacted] is not licensed nor is D & A Design which I had no knowledge of prior to having her perform work in my house. Her constant change of the dollar amount speaks to the continuous bait and switch. She has gone from offering $950 to $900 to $2195 now to $695. The $2195 was through the lawyer she had contact me from a fictitious email.
Regards,
[redacted]
