D & A Insurance Brokers

I've had continuous auto insurance coverage w/these people for 6 or seven years. I bought a newer auto on 1/8/12 and went to their office on 1/9/12 and paid a $5 fee for adding the vehicle w/full coverage and discontinuing the old liability only policy (no receipt). The girl said there would be a $60.00 fee, for which I paid her 3 $20 dollar bills. Again, since I trusted this company I received and requested no receipt. When I got the letter of update, it was for a vehicle that was way different from what we had photographed and wrote the policy for. It also said that I owed $32 more dollars. Since there was only MAYBE 3 more weeks left on the policy, and since they had made such an egregious mistake on not only the $ price, but also on the make, model, and VIN # I took the letter to their Escondido office to make them aware of the mistake and resolve the issue. We cancelled the policy, and re-wrote w/another company, for which I also paid cash. I asked for the money back on the old policy, for which they said I never paid, but I did pay $65 dollars. This is partially my fault for NOT receiving AND asking for that receipt. As soon as I got the new policy, unfortunately I shredded all of the old policy correspondence.
