I am rejecting this response because: what this man is saying is untrueFirst he says we drove the car home after we broke down on the free way I have proof that I had it towedI havrw pictures of it on the tow truck, I can also get a copy of the tow from my insurance company and a signed affidavit from the person who came to the seen to drive our daughter and all our groceries homeAs for my husband putting oil in that also is untrueFurther more, when we picked up the car I only drove one mile to pick my daughter and husband up from outside her job,, we immediately came back to his shop less then minWe argued with him for several minutes and after a long day at work had no car to walk the mile home with my daughter and husbandI also have proof of the time because I phoned my friend to ask her to pick us up so I have records of the time of the callI can verify the time between my getting off work went to a funeral and went to pick up the carI am willing to provide all my evidence at anytimeThis man ruin our vehicle and he should have to fix itAnd yes we had a friend help tow our car to his shop because our insurance would tow the vehicle a second time on the same car with out proof of repairOne tow per callI am willing to sit in front of a judge, panel of your experts to prove my caseThis man is a fraud

Response:In response to this complaint. The complainants husband called me on the oil leak problem and said the oil light came on and they pulled over. I would not suprised if it wasn't driven home in this condition. What the complainants not mentioning is the husband called on a couple of other...
occasions asking what could be causing the leak. Without seeing vehicle I only had suggestions. On the second call from the husband, he informed me that he and an friend had been putting oil in the engine and starting it to see if they could find the oil leak. This was done at least twice if not more. Which in this case the cam seal was blown out of the cylinder head, due to the crankcase ventilation system being plugged up causing too much crank case pressure. This is due to poor maintenance. This engine being an overhead cam engine, The oil pumps up to the top of the engine then down to crankshaft and rod bearings. Absent the cam seal in place the oil pumped out the end of the cam, starving the lower engine of oil. The complaintants husband then towed the vehicle in with a chain or rope. I gave the complaintant an estimate to fix the oil leak and they agreed. The parts being special order did take a while. Being this vehicle is a 2002 Volvo S60. The first seal sent was incorrect. The crankcase breather was replaced with a new one because the original breather was completely plugged up. I had to clean the EGR port and the drain in the engine block. When the correct seal was received the repair was done. The three quarts of oil that were added were to top off crankcase and were charged accordingly. The vehicle was run in shop to make sure oil leak was repaired. the vehicle was test driven and found to be ok at that time. The vehicle was picked up and a couple of hours later this concern arose. I have ran into this issue a few times, where an exotic vehicle like this is purchased at a few years old. In this case a 14 year old car with nearly 180,000 miles and poorly maintained. These vehicles are expensive to maintain and expensive to repair. Which the buyer can't afford to do either. This vehicles engine was already hurt when it was brought to me. It just didn't show it right away.
