Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/06/02) */ So, When I returned ***`s call He let me know He already called another company and set up an appointment with themDuring that phone conversation [redacted] used the f-word and other inappropriate languageShould have been a red flag for me not to work with this person He had alot of questions which I answered or tried toHe said he liked how informative and personable I was compared to the pool company he talked to earlier I came to his house 4/11(Saturday) afternoon and gave him an estimate of approx$300.XX-XXXto clear up in a monthI started immediately with his approval by adding gallons of chlorine and explaining the process: adding chlorine, raising the water level and informing me of the clarity or lack of clarity of the pool water Tuesday 4/I did what`s called a blind scoop: that`s when I systematically scoop the bottom of the pool even though I cannot see the bottom and what to scoop I spent an hour doing that even though the stench and sludge was nauseating I then texted [redacted] to let the pool pump run until about 6pm He had concerns of the pump priming and I assured him it did He texted he would not be home that night and I then texted back "It would be fine to let it run for 24hrs Wed 4/he texted at 9:07am "should I turn the pump off when I get home today? At 9:29am I replied yes, and give me a report on how the pool looksThanks" His reply at 9:40am " Ok, the filter hasn`t been cleaned so hopefully it`ll filter ok" Wed 4/at 5:42pm he sent a picture and a text inquiring of when to shut off the pool pump Wed 4/at 5:55pm I replied" now is fine" Thurs4/at 5:37pm [redacted] inquired " Hey can you let me know when you plan on pumping the pool outAlso, can you adjust the pump to get better psi? It`s laboring Thurs4/XX X:XXpm I replied : I don`t pump until I can see the bottom when things are settledI can put a settling agent in saturdayAnd the pump should not be running until thenThanks" "If you want to clean the filter in the meantime that would be great." I mentioned the amount owed because I knew that once the customer went in another direction( another pool service) I wouldn`t get paid knowing the customers unreasonableness and lack of patience and suspicious thinkingThe mention of past due and collections is just to inform not a threatVery common The request for a report on the clarity of the water is essential to the process of clearing up a brown/green pool and what to add or do nextIt`s not asking if the pool is clear or not To Illustrate: The customer requests a taxi, the taxi takes the customer most of the way to the destination but after being taken most of the way there`s a little adversity i.ea traffic jamThe cab driver says he`s willing to take the customer the whole way and apologizes for the inconvenience but the customer says he is going to get out and stiffs the cab driver even though the cab driver took the customer most of the way The middle ground is: I`m forgetting about the $due and moving on with life The customer should do the same

He had alot of questions which I answered or tried to. He said he liked how informative and personable I was compared to the pool company he talked to earlier.
I came to his house 4/11(Saturday) afternoon and gave him an estimate of approx. $300.XX-XXX.00 to clear up in a month. I started immediately with his approval by adding 8 gallons of chlorine and explaining the process: adding chlorine, raising the water level and informing me of the clarity or lack of clarity of the pool water.
Tuesday 4/13 I did what`s called a blind scoop: that`s when I systematically scoop the bottom of the pool even though I cannot see the bottom and what to scoop.
I spent an hour doing that even though the stench and sludge was nauseating.
I then texted [redacted] to let the pool pump run until about 6pm.
He had concerns of the pump priming and I assured him it did.
He texted he would not be home that night and I then texted back "It would be fine to let it run for 24hrs.
Wed 4/15 he texted at 9:07am "should I turn the pump off when I get home today?
At 9:29am I replied yes, and give me a report on how the pool looks. Thanks"

Notice how many times I had to remind the customer to keep me posted about the clarity of the water. Something I told him on the initial visit.
