We sent a very precious automotive clock out of a 1961 Maserati to D&M Restorations for simple repair work. They supposedly completed the repair and returned the clock to my business. Upon opening the package with our clock inside, we immediately noticed damage to the outside trim-bezel of the clock face. There was zero problems to the report about the shipping package and in my professional opinion damage to the clock was caused by someone not working carefully enough with the clock. We take pictures of all parts, items, etc before sending them to vendors and then send our vendors these same pictures so there can be no argument in cases like this. D&M were sent these pictures of our clock before it was sent to them for the repairs and it is clearly undamaged. I contacted D&M immediately when we realized they had sent back our clock with the damage, in an attempt to resolve the issue. I then did all of the necessary research to locate a replacement part and expected D&M to pay for the part. D&M said they would also do the same research on their end. After several attempts to reach D&M to get updates on the situation or settle the problem, the owner Jack began to claim they did no cause the damage and instead requested I file a false claim with UPS, saying they had to have damaged it in shipping. We are now stuck with our damaged clock, fortunately my business is capable of repairing the bad part, but at an expense of which I should not be responsible for.

Good afternoon and thank you for bringing this to our attention. First off let me start by saying, we strive to make every customer happy and this case is no different. I have talked to the customer multiple times and have received the before and after images. I took these images to our tech with no other info given besides did you notice this damage on the bezel of the Maserati clock. His answer was "absolutely not". After explaining the situation further the tech told me this could not had been done while crimping the bezel, as the customer stated, because he doesn't crimp in that manner. When the clock was reassembled and tested the damage was not there. The tech that did this job has been with the company for over 40 years and with how I presented the issue had no reason other than to be truthful. Now that being said, we are willing to work with the customer and plan to make a settlement offer in hopes of making the customer happy.

in Febuary 2019 I sent my wiper motor to d&m restoration to get rebuilt. I received it back April 5 2019. WHEN I INSTALED IT ONE WIPER WAS GOING BACKWARDS. WHEN I CALLED D&M RESTORATION THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING BACK TO THEM, I THOUGHT THAT WAS UNFAIR BUT I NEEDED TO GET THIS PROJECT DONE. WHEN IT WAS SHIPED BACK TO ME THE WIPER MOTOR WAS DAMAGED PLUS THEY CHARGED ME TO SHIP IT BACK TO ME(SOME WARRENTY).AFTER THAT D&R PUT IN A CLAIM TO UPS AND RECIEVED COMPENSATION. JACK (THE MANAGER)TOLD ME HE COULD FIX THE DAMAGE WITH SOME EPOXY.NOW THAT I HAVE FINNALY RECEIVED THE WIPER BACK ON AUGUST 1 2019 THE MOTOR MAKES 1/2 TURN AND QUITS AND THE EPOXY FIX IS FLAKING OFF. THIS EXPERINCE HAS BEEN VERY UNPLESANT EXCEPT FOR TALKING TO MAT . I WOULD LIKE TO BE COMPENSATED FOR MY EXPENCE AND GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY. THEY HAVE OFFERED TO PAY FOR SHIPING TO RETURN IT BUT MY CONFIDENCE IN THEM WON'T ALLOW ME.

We are still in talks with the customer in question. We have refunded the shipping for the returned wiper motor after finding fault with our tech. Otherwise we sent back a perfectly functioning motor besides an issue with the arms, which is a simple fix. We are willing to make the repair at no charge including shipping both ways. We back our work 100% for the period of 1 year. I have been in contact with the customer and I'm making every effort to make him happy. We take customer satisfaction seriously and never want an unhappy customer.

MY CONFIDENCE IN THEIR ABILITY TO REPAIR MY WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS DYSTROYED WHEN THE PRODUCT WAS RETURNED TO ME THE SECOND TIME WITH THE MOTOR LOCKED UP AND THE REPAIR TO THE DAMAGED CASING WAS PEALING OFF. I TOOK IT TO A GOOD PLACE AND HAD THE REPAIR DONE MYSELF AND REPAIRED THE MOTOR. D AND M RESTORATION WAS PAID BY ME AND UPS FOR THESE REPAIRS I HAD TO DO. I THINK THAT COMPENSATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN OFERED TO ME, BUT IT WAS NOT. I RAN A BUSINESS FOR MANY YEARS AND I WOULD HAVE NEVER ACEPTED THE THIS QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN THIS MATTER ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE FEBUARY 2019.
