Poorly advised, and trapped into an expensive auto repair
I took my vehicle in for a $30 oil change. The oil drain plug was stripped in the process of doing the oil change. Although it was mentioned that they might strip the plug they did not advise me that if they did strip the plug the only alternative they would provide was a $429.24 repair. I had no idea that the risk was that great and was not advised that such a repair might be necessary. At that point my alternatives were to pay or abandon my car as the oil was drained from the vehicle.
