VERY late billing procedures. Happens every month. 2-5 Day turn-around to pay bill MAX. RUDE, UNHELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have called several times over the last 6 years in regards to the terrible billing procedures. They send the bill out (whenever they want apparently) and most times the payment is due 2-5 days from the day it is received. I have called SEVERAL times stating my payment is mailed THE SAME DAY it is received and its not right I am charged a late fee. As the other complainant stated, it is a great way for D&B to make some additional $.
As far as the so-called D&B Customer Service Department, spare me! TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE interactions with customers. It is apparent to me they have never been through any type of customer service training. They have very snarky, sarcastic responses for everything and absolutely NO EMPATHY for the situation - which just might get them some respect.
As the previous complainant reported they hung up on her, yep - they have hung up on me almost EVERY TIME I call. I am moving soon and CANNOT WAIT to be RID of D&B and their absolute terrible practices. Peace out!
Reimbursement for my so-called "late" fees over the last 6 years would be great. But a simple: "I'm sorry for all the hassle" would suffice. An additional step would be to send those hateful people working in the office to Customer Service Training
Prior to June of 2017 the billing date was the 17th of the month and due on the 6th of the following month. The billing date and due date was changed by the park. All late charges are given to the park and it is up to the park whether they are adjusted or not. D & B does not keep the money nor has any authority to waive any late charges. The customer has paid late 12 times in the last six years. The late charges were adjusted 3 times by the park. This customer is insistent that it is D & B's responsibility to make sure the post office delivers mail on time. Unfortunately we have no control over the mail.
Employees pocketed money from my account and wrote in my notes that I had a heart attack which I didn't then my water gets turned off and through multiple discussions in which I must be wrong the whole time, attitude from there office until they finally realized a employee took the money. I recently visited there office in which this employee was still working.
When the customer notified D & B of the missing money & proved receipts of payment, D & B wrote two checks for the missing money. Check number 3734 for $60.00 and check number 3735 for $20.00. The employee was written up and is on notice. They are no longer allowed to touch cash. On March 13th the water for the entire park was turned off. The park did not notify D & B of this action. The owner of D & B tried two separate attempts to call the customer in regards to this issue and the manager of the office tried as well. All attempts went to voicemail and it was full.
We paid in advance. They no longer handle that account but refuse to refund.
Following the advice from this company, I paid my son's water bill in advance. For some reason, they couldn't mail out timely notices. I would receive the bill 2 or 3 days before it was due. I personally think this is their way of collecting the $10 dollar fee they charge to pay over the phone. If the bill isn't mailed out in time, the consumer's only option is to pay by phone. To avoid this, I sent them a check, which they cashed, for $250.00. Approximately 6 months worth of service. Currently, there is a 81.95 dollar credit on my account which they refuse to refund. The surly woman on the phone told me that they have never given and refund and never will. So, my only option is to file suit against this company not only for the amount due, but for punitive damages under the American with Disabilities Act since it is my son's money and he is autistic.
I just want the money returned that they are illegally holding.
This customer called our office on July 13 asking for a refund for over payment of water. D&B Billing forwards all money received to the previous owner of ***. D&B immediately called the office that receives the payments and asked them if they would like us to refund the money and take it out of collections or if they would like to refund the money. They requested that we refund the money. Check #*** was issued for 81.95 and mailed July 13. Customer was called within 15 minutes of the original call and left a message stating that they would be receiving a check for over payment of water in the amount of $81.95. This customer hung up before we could even
try to resolve the problem.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I never hung up on them. The person who answered the phone stated, "We have never given a refund and we never will". She told me that I would have to take it up with *** and that it wasn't their problem. She then disconnected the call. I appreciate that they are refunding the money, however, lying to make themselves look better is comical.
I'm not the only one in this same situation, I believe I was however, the only one who was willing to sue them.
