Review: I hired DC enterprises, at the referral of my independent consultant inspector, to do a partial renovation on my newly purchased house in February of 2015. I had issues with their work and work ethic from the beginning of the project, but was told by my independent consultant inspector, that firing them would set my project back another 60 days, which I could not afford to do. I needed to have a laundry room and bathroom renovated, as well a turning an empty room into a kitchen. this has cost me $64,000.00 I was grossly over charged for materials as well as labor, and have not been provided with any invoices from sub contractors, or the contractor, and I also haven't been provided with any receipts. below is a list of unfinished work, or unsatisfactory work/practices.

• Refusal to communicate (no show, now call)

• crooked walls and cuts throughout the house

• compromise on my appliance list

• charged for upgrades, no upgrades

• pay for work that only had to be done because of contractor employee damage

• stuff missing every time HVAC shows up

• outdoor extension cords

• 20 foot heavy duty chain

• 60 inch deck Zero turn Lawn mower

• Bucket of screws

• Fish Pond accessories

• We have had to service the HVAC twice already

• Mason Jars to be used for lighting defecated on/in

• windows still don’t open properly

• chicken coop / outhouse never torn down

• no painting was done inside

• porch still needs paint coat #2

• took out a 60 gallon hot water heater, and replaced with a 30 (work order called for 40)

• never fixed/finished fridge closet

• never boxed in duct work

• stole check from FEDEX. Never given permission to pick up package or cash check

• Never fixed sagging floor at back entry

• Laundry room floor soft, not enough support added

• never finished spreading grass seed or hay

• left ruts in yard from vehicles on soft mud

• damaged grape arbor

• almost all lumber was recycled from garage tear down

• surface walls in outer bath room do not meet back wall, never finished

• never added second air return for HVAC

• damaged antiques by cutting electrical cord to use on other things

• found contractors employees smoking marijuana on property several times

• smelled alcohol on drywall hanger

• saw HVAC employees with rolled up dollar billDesired Settlement: I would like to pay the contractor what the materials cost, and a reasonable price for labor for the work that he, or his employees and subcontractors completed. I would like to be refunded anything over that amount.
