Review: A few a days before Saturday June 21, I received a letter from Honda of Tenafly, signed by both the General Sales Manager and the Sales Manager, informing me of a one day sale that was a unique opportunity for me. I had leased three other Hondas from this dealership since 2009 and it address me as "Bruce" 3 time in the body of the letter. This was no a mass mailing. Honda of Tenafly knew we had a 2012 CR-V still under leased, and the letter flat out stated that they had a demand for these vehicles and they wanted ours. They invited me to return my CR-V eight months early and promised to put me behind the wheel of a new 2014 Honda. I wouldn’t have stepped into the showroom until the lease was up in March of 2015 if it weren’t for the personal invitation and that it was from Honda of Tenafly. From the body of the letter I quote: “To put it simply, special pricing and vehicle reimbursement arrangements have been made available to you.” “THANK YOU. As a loyal Honda owner, we have been authorized to give you a substantial amount of money.” “With this invitation, you will receive up to $500 Preferred Cash* PLUS all your current Honda incentives” I handed the letter to salesman. It was made known to the salesman that this was the only reason why I was there that day. What we expected: Honda of Tenafly takes our leased 2012 CR-V at no cost to me. They wanted our car. They sought us out. We didn’t go to the dealership wanting to get out of the lease. We were very happy with the car. What we got: For returning the 2012 CR-V, a car in excellent condition, serviced exclusively at Honda and only driven 14,000 miles in 2 ½ years, we were charged over $700. None of these charges were ever mentioned to me. Ever. What I expected: We lease the 2014 Civic at the Honda Lease Incentive price, which was in effect from May 13 to July 7. What I got: No Honda Lease Incentive pricing. I was charged the full list price of the car and more.Desired Settlement: Recalculate the cost of the 3 year /12000 mile CIVIC EX lease using the Honda of America lease terms that were in effect on June 21, 2014 and reimburse the difference. Reimburse the early termination lease charges and other costs (over $700 that were added to the cost of the the lease without explanation form the finance office or salesman).

Review: I recently purchased a Crosstour at Honda of Tenafly. There were no issues with the buying process and I love my new car until we got to the financing part. The Finance Director, Danise *. was rude and impatient. As an Asian client, my English is not the best. Although I can understand what she is saying, I cannot ask the questions I need to comfortable in English so I would ask the Korean salesman to help translate. But I saw that Danise would get annoyed and at one point told me, "You need to stop talking and listen to what I have to say." As a customer making a large purchase, I should have the right to ask any question I don’t understand or not clear about. Is that how you speak to customers? I work in a service industry as well and find that so unprofessional. I almost felt some racism the way she spoke to me and her tone of voice. I never felt this type of disrespect. I am so upset that someone of her position would make a customer feel so bad for not being able to speak English fluently. I am not sure I am if I can refer any of my friends to this dealership because I am afraid they will receive the same treatment from Danise.

I also, would like to mention when I checked my credit report for a mortgage a week after getting financed at the dealership, my loan officer pointed out that I have 7 inquiries from Honda in one day. I don’t understand why Danise would check my credit 7 times for one car loan. I have a score of over 800 points but when I checked a week later, I went down noticeable. And I when asked Danise why there was so many inquiries, she said she would get back to me and never called back. I want to bring this to everyone’s attention. The service I received by Danise is unacceptable and I hope she will be addressed accordingly.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology from this person and for someone that doesn't speak perfect English to go through the same experience as I have. I would also like for Honda to write to the credit agencies and reverse the inquiries they had left so my score is not affect negatively from the 7 inquiries.

Review: O went to purchase vehicle on July 31, negotiated a deal with salesman named Frank deal was solidified..I told him I had to go pick up my wife..several minutes later he called me and asked if I had Co signer..j said no..he said Finance manager denose needs to speak with you. .I called her several time she never responded. .I went there next day she said your credit is bad and your payment would up a little..she said it would go up 195.00 from original quoted deal..from 240.00 per month to 435.00 per month. Honda just settled on a lawsuit for over charging minoritis and I experienced it first hand. That much is a blatant lie and illegal.Desired Settlement: Audit of financial transactions in that dealer involving minorities

In no way do we discriminate against anyone. The customer had a very low credit score and the interest rate reflected this. In fact the interest rate originally came thru higher, however we were able to get it lowered a tier.Please call me if you have any questions regarding this complaint.

Review: 1. On 5/18/2015, Honda 2009 CRV VIN#[redacted] was towed from [redacted]J to Honda Tenafly for warranty covered vehicle defects. Vehicle could not be driven.

2. Honda 2009 Warranties Page 37 states that "YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR OWING TO THE NEAREST HONDA DEALER IF THE FAILURE IS COVERED BY ANY OF THE WARRANTIES IN THIS BOOK".

3. ON 5/20/2015 Vehicle defects were fixed, covered by warranty.

4. Requested reimbursement for $88.40 Towing Charge(5/182015 Service) from NVM Towing Service([redacted] ###-###-####).

5. Service Advisor Samantha [redacted] stated Reimbursement was requested to Honda. After 2 times update requested, reimbursement has not been received.Desired Settlement: Please reimburse $88.40 for Towing service on 5/18/15 due to defect covered by defect. Thank you.
