To further clarify this issue I would like to refer to the repair order and signed estimate that we have in regards to our getting authorization to repair this vehicle as the estimate dated 1/13/clearly shows [redacted] did authorize repairs in the amount of $when she dropped the vehicle off in person at noon on that daywe have both the signed estimate and the date and time recorded on our shop management system of that authorizationI would state that this fact is not in question this was for up to one hour of diagnostic time to test what was causing her vehicle to run bad and idle badafter testing we found that the vehicle was only running on cylinders at idle and only when under load, further testing determined that the vehicle had bad plug wires and that the engine valve cover leaking oil into the spark plug well tubes was the most likely cause of thiswe did note that the plug wires were recently replaced with belden brand plug wires we called the vendor who carried this brand of plug wires and got them replaced for the customer at no charge for the parts even though we had not installed themit was at this time that we called the customer to inform them of our findings and ask her how she wanted us to proceedour recommendation was to replace the plug wires, the spark plugs and the leaking valve cover gasket if you add these items up on the repair bill you will see that the total cost of these items to be replaced is the approval we received from the customer was for which again falls right in line with what our repair order showswe received this approval by phone at 3:pm the same day the car was dropped offagain this is noted on the repair orderwhen we performed our courtesy inspection on the vehicle when it first came in we also found that the vehicle had a very loose right outer tie rod end which we did inform the customer aboutwe were told by her at that time that she would get back to us as to whether or not she wanted to replace the tie rod endthere was a communication mix up on our end and the technician replaced the tie rod end when we were working on the carafter we replaced the plug wires and the plugs and the leaking valve cover we started the vehicle and it still had a missafter further testing we found that as a result of the car being driven on the highway with the misfires on cylinders it caused an exhaust valve on the engine to burn through thus causing low compression on one cylinderwe called the customer and gave her the options for repairs and she choose not to repair the vehicleat that time we told her that she owed for the testing and repairs that we did to the vehicleshe was not charged for the tie rod end that was replacedshe then asked us what her options were for getting rid of the vehicle and was informed that we could junk the vehicle and that would offset the cost of the repairs she owed us forshe was told that any extra monies we received over and above what she owed us would be sent to heras to the timing of when she emptied out the vehicle and when or even if we were supposed to remove the plates this I can't be certain off because this was over a year agoI do know that the customer or her boyfriend cleaned out the car and gave us the titlewe did not junk the vehicle for several months after we took possession of it as we were waiting to receive the best price for scrap per tonwe junked the vehicle on around the rd week of march, again I don't know the exact date but on march 21st we credited her account for for the amount we received for the vehiclewe then "wrote off" the balance of the initial repairs and the additional costs of replacing the tie rod end, the customer was not billed for this nor was this charged against her billI cannot speak to the statement that the customer tried to contact me numerous times over the past year as I personally never received those phone calls nor got any messagesthe customer also never stopped down in person the express their dissatisfaction with what had taken place in regards to their vehicle even though they were at that time from our citywe also never received any letters stating their dissatisfaction with our servicesthe first time I was aware of any dissatisfaction on their part was when I received this complaint over a year laterI do apologize if their was any miscommunication or misunderstanding about what was to transpire with their vehicle and the junking of it but we pride ourselves on being very open and up front with our customers in regards to all their vehicle's repair needs this customer was not charged for any repairs that she did not authorize and she did receive the full value of the monies we received when we junked the vehicleshe has never been sent a bill for the difference nor has she ever been expected to pay any bill beyond the amount she approvedagain I do apologize if there was any miscommunication on our part

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] I stopped reading after the part where they said they had a phone authorization from me because it's bullWe brought the car in and waited to see what was wrong, then I signed for them to fix the first thing they saw was wrongThen they called me with a the other problems I said to just jjunk itI never authorized anything over the phone except to junk itI called and went into the business and the receptionist said there was no file or evidence of me authorizing them to work on my carSo I'm just going to walk away from this situation, I'm not going to finish reading what they said because it's a waste of my time to read lies and excusesOnce again they ignored me for over a year and finally now decide to explain everythingIf what they are saying is true why didn't they just tell me this to begin withOh, they are only doing it now because I brought this to the Revdex.com and they're trying to cover their buttsIt's all a load of ***If they want to be dicks and rip people off that's their own choice and they have to live with that

IN REPLY TO THIS I WILL REFERENCE THE WORK ORDER THAT I PREVIOUSLY HAVE SENT TO YOUinvoice number ***the second line on the vehicle under tune vehicle clearly stated that the customer did not want his vehicle run on the dyno due to the cost associated with that serviceit is noted on the invoice, when I spoke to him personally I also told him the only way to properly tune his truck was to put it on the dyno and he did not want this done as far as the miles in and out, we do not populate these fields but I can see how in this case this would have been very advantageous to usI personally drove the truck over miles while I was tuning it on the road since the customer did not want it tuned on the dynoplus the vehicle was test driven before any work was started to verify the customer concern and after the repairs were performed to verify the repairswe also have a signed estimate from the customer for $which I have attached so the claim that he did not approve above $is also incorrectwe also received phone authorizations from the customer for additional repairs his truck needed and the costs associated with those repairsas you can see on page of the invoice number [redacted] he was contacted on 9/8/at 2:pm and he authorized an additional repair cost of $I can provide phone records that will coincide and back up our claims that we had numerous contacts with the customeras to his claim that these were not made in person, that is because the customer lives over miles away from our shopat any time he could have stopped in in person to authorize the additional repair costs but he chose to do this by phone which is an acceptable authorization form in Wisconsinhe was called before we performed our inspection on the truck because he wanted to know if the truck was worth fixing/sticking money into since he had just recently purchased the vehicle and did not know in what kind of mechanical condition it was inthe other statements he makes is a matter of opinion not fact, in fact its slanderoushe was kept informed and made aware of any and all repairs made to his truck before we made them because we knew from the beginning he was on a limited budgetagain I state we did everything the customer approved, he was informed of everything we were doing before we did it, he was not without a vehicle while his truck was in our shop, we provided him with a no charge courtesy vehicle, he was told verbally and in writing that his truck needed additional repairs and that if these were not done the truck would not run good, he even signed the final invoice where these were reiterated in writing sincerely [redacted] d and d automotive services inc

[redacted] thank you for reaching out to meI know that we are trying to resolve this issue before any further steps need to be takenthank you for giving me the opportunity to discuss this with you

On 1/17/ [redacted] 's Plymouth neon was brought to our shop for repairs the complaint was that they were driving the vehicle on the highway when the check engine light came on and the vehicle than stared to run rough at that time [redacted] authorized us to spend $to diagnose the problem with the vehicleshe did this in person and signed the repair estimate for that price, I have attached both the estimate and the repair order to this e mailthe vehicle was never brought in for an oil change as she states and as is proven by the repair order and the original estimate that I have attachedwe diagnosed the engine to be misfiring on cylinders and the cause to be bad spark plug wires which was caused by the valve cover gasket leaking oil into the spark plug well tubes and also that the engine had spark plugs that were worn beyond manufacturers specswe recommended replacing the spark plug wires, which we warrantied out for her at no cost since the engine had lifetime wires installed, but not at our shop, we did this as a courtesy to the customerwe also recommended replacing the valve cover gasket due to the fact that it was leaking oil into the spark plug wells and this caused the spark plug wires to fail and we also recommended at that time that the spark plugs also be replaced since they were worn out as wellduring our pt courtesy inspection we also found an outer tie rod end that was very loose and recommended that it be replaced as wellwe called her at pm that same day and she authorized us to spend an additional $for these additional repairswe proceeded with the repairs and after these were performed the engine still had a slight miss, we performed and engine compression and cylinder leakage test at that time and found that as a result of the engine misfires and the vehicle being driven with bad plug wires and plugs that an exhaust valve had burned thus causing the miss that still was presentwe called the customer again and she stated that she did not know if she would want the vehicle fixed and was going to have to think about itat that time we informed her of the cost of the vehicle repairs owed and she stated she would call us backa couple days later a male called the shop stating he was her boyfriend and that they were not going to fix the vehicle, they wanted to know their optionswe informed them again of the cost of the repairs and informed them that if they wanted we would take the vehicle as payment for the repairswe then told her that we would junk the vehicle and if we received more money for the vehicle than she owed that we would send the moneywe estimated that we could get between and dollars for the vehicle, it depended on the price of scrap when we took it to the junk yardthe boyfriend then stated they would need a couple of days to get their stuff cleaned out of the vehicle and if they could have their plates which we said was no problem a few days later we received another call that the vehicle was cleaned out and that the title was in the car and the car was ready to be junkedwe took the vehicle to the junk yard and we received payment of $for the vehiclethis did not even cover the costs of the repair but as a goodwill gesture on our part we marked her account as paid in fullI do not know what happened to the plates for the vehicle as we do not have them in our possession and do not know if they were on the vehicle when it was junkedI have not received any voice mails that I can remember from as far as her stating that she attempted to resolve this issue numerous times I don't know if that is true or not as I do not remember having any voice mails from her in this regards nor did we ever receive any written letters from her stating her unhappiness with us an our serviceas you can see though she did in fact approve the repairs, both the initial diagnostics and the additional work which is proven by the attached signed repair estimate and the approval on the bottom of the repair order when we called her and she approved verbally the additional repairs the repair order is not signed as we never had personal contact with her after she decided to not fix the vehicle and give us the vehicle to junk and apply whatever monies we received for it towards her bill.if you need any further clarification please contact me.thank you [redacted]
