D & D Installations Reviews (2)
Following a hair storm in 2001, my insurance company approved new siding, gutters and roof. A contract with [redacted] Installations was signed and a 15 year warranty on workmanship and 25 year warranty on materials was given. For the last few years I have had trouble with my gutters overflowing. I called [redacted] to give me a quote on new gutters. They said that the reasons that the gutters were overflowing was because the gutters were not pitched correctly. [redacted] asked me if I had had my roof inspected recently. When they went to take a look, they said that there were many installation problems -- exposed nails, color lot differences in shingles, places where they roof was not properly fitted against the windows. In addition, the original roof was not torn off, but instead roofed over -- in spite of the fact that the contract said that the original roof would be torn off. One place in the roof was so soft that it was advised that no one walk on it. They said that if we had accumulation of snow this winter, that the spot could cave in. The rep from [redacted] said that the roof was the worst display of workmanship that they had seen in many years. [redacted] then went into my attic and found that due to the exposed nails, I had moisture leakage which in turn caused mold to spread in the attic. As a result, when the roof is replaced, all decking planks must be replaced to eliminate the mold problem.
