Review: I was trying to exchange a pair of jeans that had ripped after wearing them a month and a half the price of the jeans was $59.95. One of the other employees had another pair of jeans sent from another store in my size. They called me when they came in but when I wanted to exchange them the manager, [redacted], would not let me. She was extremely rude and argued with me and talked over top of me when I was trying to explain something. I know their return policy is no exchanges after 30 days but I didn't have the jeans for long before they ripped and they were $60 jeans they should have been made better. I have bought jeans from other places and paid less money and they didn't tear up for years. I expect if I pay $60 for a pair of jeans they should last a long time. That is a manufacturing problem if they tear up in less than two months. I am very unhappy with the way the manager ([redacted]) treated me and with the company. I am just wanting to exchange the jeans they already had a pair sent from another store and also the jeans are being discontinued and are 60% off now so I don't know why I just can't exchange them. My parents and I have spent a lot of money in that store but we will not be back.Desired Settlement: I prefer to exchange. If they no longer have my size I would like a refund because of the way I was treated.

Response:

In order to help resolve this issue, we are having a pair of the jeans shipped from one of our other stores. (The pair they had originally gotten her had already been sold). They should be in that store by Monday, April 1, 2013. We will hold the jeans for her to exchange for a period of 3 weeks.

Sincerely,

Review: I am on oxygen 24-7, I live one hour away and was told that I could return my merchandise in 7 days so on the morning at 9:00am I was there and had to wait until 12:30 to receive my money. The clerk kept saying she had the money but could not give it until the boss came because she had little money. She was asked to call her boss but she said she was not allowed to. I thought at this time of year they should have been more prepared. I know this won't help me but maybe someone else. Feel free to call me at any timeDesired Settlement: I think I'm due an apology and they should have more consideration for sick people.

Business

Response:

As with almost all retail establishments, all money we collect during a business day is deposited into the bank each night. The only money that is kept out is the till money, which is required in order to have change at the beginning of the day. The cash drawer cannot be taken below this starting till amount, otherwise there is no way to change out money as the day progresses. This customer was at the store at 9:00 am. This evidently was at opening time at the store. There would have been no way to refund the customer with Cash this early in the morning. Customer would have had an option to have a check mailed to her if she didn't want to wait She would also have had an option on initial purchase to pay with a credit card in which case refund could have been done immediately for her. I understand that customer may have felt inconvenienced by this, however this follows the same protocol as pretty much any other retail store. Sincerely, [redacted]
