In my opinion, without their assistance I am not sure if my husband would be coming home next month. They are very affordable for families like mine and well worth it. On my own, I could not afford high priced fees and what D&D does was right in my price range. D&D does all the leg work, the updates and the preparations of the case and then we were assigned to a pro bono attorney outside of their organization who phoned us in on the interview with the lead voter. I was kept well informed of everything from beginning to end. We didnt make the first parole but we made the second parole, they did as promised and kept working our case with no addition fees until we were granted parole - finally the best answer possible FI-1! Thank you everyone for our new lives on the outside of the prison walls as you often told me.

They got me home after I was falsely imprisoned for a self defense charge. But now that I am free, I can continue my fight to get this life sentenced dropped off my name and this is all thanks to them. While I was in prison they kept me updated and my family too. No they are not attorneys and you sign a contract acknowledging these facts BUT I have to say with clarity they transfer your file to one that will present your case and you sign the contract for that too. If you don't make it they will keep working until you do. I had many setoffs before them but thankfully I made it the 1st time with them by my side. And this I am a person witness too. This company states they are not attorneys but paralegals and they played a major role in helping us get through the parole process which ended with an approval! They prepared an outstanding parole plan detailing our every thoughts for our family and kept us very well informed. "Pro se" means the "client" represents himself rather than having an attorney represent him/her. By law, no one except oneself or an attorney can represent an offender before a Parole Board. They may assist you in preparing a Parole packet, but you are NOT being represented by an attorney before the Parole Board. They cannot and will not give legal advice which is what most of us need and want in a Parole situation.
After 3 months and several phone calls, I still do not have a copy of the file they say they prepared for us.
