Review: Good morning,I am attempting to resolve a complaint with DE Flooring Granite Remodeling. In [redacted], I had about $7,000 worth of granite counter tops installed. They did not apply sealer to the light-colored granite (or they did not apply it properly). When I called to inquire as to if the counters were sealed, the staff members said it would be easy to check and asked for me to place a glass of ice water on the counter and asked if I saw anything.A distinct dark ring formed very quickly. The staff member said they must not have been sealed, or sealed properly. In addition to this I noticed a grape juice stain within two weeks of installation (residue from the bottom of my picture left a permanent stain in my counters). When I called to have this fixed, staff was adamant the counters were sealed (despite doing the water test). I also offered to provide them with a piece of granite that was left behind (that was "sealed" as well) and they refused to "test it."They sent someone out to reseal my counters. He resealed over the stain! When I pointed it out, he said he didn't see it, then tried to remove it but said he couldn't get the stain out. Upon a follow-up call, the owner said it was my fault for the grape juice stain, again claiming they did seal the counters (when their own staff had me perform the "test" and told me they weren't sealed properly).I've repeatedly asked for them to come out again and try to remove the stain. They said they would, but never called me back to schedule a time and have not responded to any of my calls or emails.I would like to know what the warranty is but can't get this information either. I find it difficult to believe that they won't back their product after it being installed for two weeks.Any assistance to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.Desired Settlement: Have the business come out within the next few weeks and try to remove the stain. Also, provide me with a copy of the warranty for their product. If this is unsuccesful, then we'll look at other options.

Response:
Good morning,
Thank you for following up. Again, I just received a voice mail from the owner now claiming that his staff "may have stripped the sealer" when they tried to remove grout from my back splash. While this may be true, I can tell you that it doesn't explain then why I experienced significant dark rings around my glasses of water that were placed on the bar area (no where near the grout line). Again, I feel that this business owner has given me every excuse to avoid fixing the issue.
He admits that his crew stripped the sealer and didn't replace it but refuses to take responsibility for the work product he provided was inadequate and fix it.
How do I proceed?
Thank you,

Please
be informed that we have resolved the complaint #[redacted] with [redacted]. We
went to see her [redacted] to inspect the granite stain on her granite
counter top after several times of cleaning the stain last month and when we got
there, we hardly saw the stain. We spoke to her and her husband and they
are now happy. We did one more treatment on their granite counter top before we
left them and hopefully they will email you back of their satisfaction
soon.
Can
you please follow up the customer and consider this complaint resolved? We hope
not to see this complaint on our Revdex.com site.
We
will be waiting for your response soon.
Thank
you.
