D & E Masonry

Review: I contracted D & E Masonry to tear out an existing patio in the back of my house and replace it with a new concrete patio. They were to also put in a circular concrete patio in the front of our house. They also removed a part of the sidewalk in the front of our house and replaced it with new concrete. We contracted them to stain all areas of the newly installed concrete with the color San Jose Buff. They were to also stain the existing sidewalk in front of our house to match the new concrete. There was sealer applied to all areas listed above. On the day that the sealer was applied I paid D & E Masonry in full on the 28th of June. I asked the owner, [redacted] about the blotchy (light and dark areas on the concrete) look of the concrete. He said that he may have to come back and apply additional coats to fix this. He assured me and my husband that he would return if we had any problems. I called Mr [redacted] later on the same day (6/28) and told him that the sealer was dry but it was still blotchy. He said he would return the next day. He did return and apply another coat. It was better but still blotchy. I called and spoke to Mr [redacted] twice and he said he would return. I told him I had additional questions regarding the patio. He came on Monday July 2nd and left a note to call him. I called Mr [redacted] back several times as well as sent him an email but Mr [redacted] has not returned any of my phone calls. I sent him a certified letter stating the issues with concrete and to contact me by Friday July 13th but he has not called me as of today July 15th 2012.Desired Settlement: I would like Mr [redacted] to return and apply the sealer or whatever he has to do in order for the concrete to be one solid color. I would also like the opportunity to ask some questions regarding the concrete. There may be an additional repair needed based on our conversation.
