I am rejecting this response because:The day the job was to be completed the painter [redacted] said multiple times he had a WWF show he was going to take his son to. I felt that he rushed the job in order to make that show, which he referenced multiple times. At the "walk through" I felt pressured because [redacted] was running out of time. I expressed concern regarding many blemishes in the finished work. [redacted]'s answer was that he would come back and fix them. I did not have time to do a very thorough inspection at the time, because I needed to put both my small children down for naps. It had been a hardship having work done on my home with two small children. The work was not done correctly-the cabinets were not sanded or cleaned which was agreed upon by the painter and I. In emails before the painter was hired he said the paint would last 8-10 years and it is already chipping off. This was not a quality paint job, and to fix it he would have to return and for two more days. This would have been more stressf and I would have to arrange childcare and change previous plans I made for him to return. This is my first time hiring a paint contractor and in hindsight I should not have paid him as I was not happy with the finished job. The bottom line is he did not do quality work that I would expect from a professional painter. He also did not return the day we agreed upon to finish the job, and after numerous calls for two days to [redacted] and his wife with no response I felt they abandoned the job and was I in satisfied with his company and his work. I did leave a bad review based on the work he did not complete and the overall unsatisfactory quality of work. I also have not been provided with a receipt for supplies and his contracted license number , which I have requested repeatedly. This makes me feel as though this company is hiding something. [redacted]'s wife guaranteed 100 percent satisfaction multiple times which was not delivered.

On August 9, 2016, I completed a kitchen cabinet paint job for a new client, [redacted]. A complete walk thru was performed with [redacted] and myself after completion of job. At the time of the walk thru, my client stated she was satisfied with the completed work then proceeded with...

payment for my services. Two days later on August 11, 2016, I received a phone call from client’s Mother who was very angry, upset, and demanding me to return immediately to redo the cabinets. I explained to my client’s Mother that I was on another job at the time and would return back to fix the issues reported by the client as soon as I completed my current job. I then asked her to please have [redacted] call me if there were any further questions or concerns, as I would prefer to hear from the client directly, not the Mother. On Friday August 12, 2016, my Wife (business partner), [redacted], received a call from [redacted] who reported concerns she had regarding the completed cabinet paint job. [redacted] then explained to [redacted] that I was currently on a job, however, she assured the client that I would definitely return and fix the cabinets to her satisfaction before Friday August 19, 2016. [redacted] agreed to this and the phone call ended. On August 16, 2016, I received alerts from my Facebook business page of a couple reported bad reviews from [redacted] as well as her friends (that I never have done work for). My Business partner, [redacted] then called the client to clarify about the reviews, due to the fact that it was only August 16, 2016, and not yet August 19, 2016. [redacted] stated that she had called my number and left a message, but because the call was not returned immediately, she felt like I was not going to return to complete her concerns. [redacted] (business partner) then explained to her that I was tied up with finishing a job I was currently working on in Bakersfield, CA. in order to return to the client’s home in Visalia, CA. [redacted] (business partner) and [redacted] came to an agreement that I would be going the very next morning Wednesday August 17, 2016, to redo whatever needed to be done to her satisfaction. That very same day, a couple hours later, [redacted] (business partner) received a phone call from [redacted]’s husband stating that he did not want me to return and stated “this is a done deal”. I feel If [redacted] was not completely satisfied with my work, she should have stated that during the walk through and should not have paid me until she was completely satisfied. It is a policy of mine to not ask for payment until the job is completed to my client’s satisfaction. I also ensure if there is any concerns or complaints regarding a job, I will return at the earliest convenience and complete until client is satisfied.
