Techinican did not plug freezer back in after using it as his power source resulting in spoiling a freezer full of meat.
On 5/15/13 the company provided a duct cleaning service, at which time they used a power outlet in our gargage (confirmed this with company personnel) to power their cleaning tool. I (the customer was out of town from (5/16-5/19/13) returning for work on 5/20/13. On 5/24/13 after getting groceries and going to place them in the our freezer in the garage, it was noticed the freezer was unplugged and the contents within it were spoiled (I have pictures evidencing all of this). Upon discovering this, we immediately contacted the company and left a voice-mail on the 24th; no return call was received until we contacted company personnel on 5/26/13 at which time we were instructed to take pictures and provide a list of the items in the freezer with a value and the company would contact us on 5/28/13. No call was received on 5/28/13. An itemized list and valuation of each item was provided to the company on 5/29/13. A phone call was once again placed with the company on 5/29/13 and I was told the owner would make a decision on reimbursement. On 6/1/13 a call was placed with the company at which time company personnel was reached and we were told to call back on 6/3/13 to speak with the owner at 1:00p.m. Furthermore, the company personnel requested receipts of the purchased freezer contents. At this time it was relayed to them that the meat in the freezer was a gift given to us back in March of 2012 and a receipt would be hard to obtain. On 6/3/13 (1:00 p.m.) a call was placed to the company and I was told the owner was not in yet, but would be in an hour. On 6/3/13 at approximately 2:15 p.m. company personnel was contacted at which time we were informed the owner would contact us in the evening and/or would not talk to us until we had receipt for the freezer contents. It was once again conveyed to the company the meat was a gift and a receipt would be hard to obtain. The office manager then proceeded to tell me to "sue us for the damages... it will be hard to prove that we unplugged the freezer." To this day we have not received a call from the owner and have provided an inventory list, valuation of the items, and pictures evidencing the inventory list. If the valuation of the items is in dispute, we are willing to work with the owner to resolve this. However, we have yet to speak with anyone within the company willing to resolve the issue.
