I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12277690, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I have received a check to make up for items not delivered

Bought a 40' aluminum dock May 6, 2012 from D and G Marine Services. Was told I would have in 7- 10 days from that date. Purchased for $2,000. and sent owner [redacted] a $500.00 deposit balance to be paid when picked up. Called him on May 17, 2012 to make arrangements to pick up, he told me it would be ready the Saturday the 19th. I called him friday the 18th to set up time to pickup dock that Saturday. I called him 5 or 6 times Friday and Saturday and he would not answer or return my messages I left. The phone number he uses isnt even a land line it is a cell number. Finally I tryed texting the number. Finally after about a week he text me back, and for the inconvenience he would deliver the dock to me at my cabin 5pm on Friday June 1st. I drove to my cabin with my family to meet him, and finish the transaction. Again he did not show, or even call me. I started calling his phone number over and over again leaving messages and text messages of my outrage over this whole ordeal. I finally called from a different phone number, and he answered. And told me his truck had broke down, and he would be there as soon as he had it fixed. I waited at my cabin until tuesday june 5th calling him daily to find out if his truck was fixed, again he would not answer. He finally text me and said he would just send my deposit back that was June 6th. And he has not sent my money back, or will he answer my phone call or text. This guy should not be allowed to be in business, I dont know how many other people have been scammed by this individual, but I sure wont be. On top of my $500.00 dollars I have sent him I am out hundreds of dollars driving back and forth to meet him,and he never shows up. I have a copy of my cancelled check also that he cashed if you would need, that I can fax just let me know. Thankyou, for your time, and I hope you can help me solve my issue.
