In response to the customer’s complaint this is my company’s rebuttalWe have had two people go to Mr***’ home to walk through and address any complaints that he has had On the last walk through our company’s owner went personally to make sure that this customer was taken care ofAt the end
of this walk through Mr*** stated that he was satisfied with everything and that he was willing to pay us $9,because he told us that his insurance company had sent us the remaining balance personallyThis is actually against the lawNo insurance company sends a contractor their customer’s money personallyThe check is made out to the customer and then the customer is expected to pay the customer themselvesWhen this was said we called the claim adjuster that was handling the case and she stated that all checks were made out to Mr*** and that they have been cashedWe did ask for a price increase supplement from the insurance company which was deniedPlease see attached contract where it states and was circled when presented to customer that we are allowed to invoice the proceeds of the claim and any supplements that were allowedWe have not tried to overcharge this customerAs of now, the customer owes us $3,, which the insurance released to him in July and he has cashedMr*** still is trying to say that we received this money and he knows nothing about itThis has been proven incorrect by his own insurance companyWe have addressed his complaintsAll work is completeHe filed this complaint the day after our company’s owner came personally and they shook hands that this customer was satisfiedWe have been to his house numerous times to address any concerns that he has hadTo our knowledge he has been satisfiedWe are asking that he pay the balance of his contract because there is no just cause for him not to do so
D&G Quality Roofing do not pay their Subcontractors in full nor are they covered under workman's comp on any projects or state jobs even if D&G is telling the state that the sub is an hourly employee. After helping them build their business in the roof coating world when roof leaks were destroying their business, I salvaged it with my 25 yrs of roofing knowledge. After 2 plus years of babysitting and educating the owners and their staff on the principles of roofing, it did not make a dent. Substandard work should never be accepted, you have rights as a homeowner or business owner to know exactly what you are buying. Question everything.
A gentlemen representing himself as the contractor for D&G Roofing. After a hail storm my wife had called our insurance which they assessed personally on the roof. After a few contractors we knew we could not afford replacing our roof due to my wife then and still on disability post surgery. [redacted] came up to my wife and I in our driveway and we talked to him. My wife has explained we had other contractors assess and our insurance and could not afford it at this time. He said he might be able to help us out giving us a advertising discount and he himself would deal with our insurance. The discount was the 1% of what my wife thought our deductible from our insurance. He stated it would not cost us anything out of pocket after he assessed the roof, siding and screens. He completed the roofing and came to the door and told my wife they would be back the next week to finish the siding and screens. Mr.[redacted] was given the insurance check but never returned to complete the job. Now he is asking for money the insurance had denied payment for siding and screens. The job was never completed and we feel job he done was paid for. We have 30 days to pay him or it will be referred to his attorney.
