Again we are soory about the situation that has happened. After talking with my mechanic and supervisor that was on duty at the time we can offer 50% off any storage fees that have occured and can fix the trailer. we will charge all parts as cost. (with no mark up fees) 50% chargable in labor. I know that you feel that somehow my mechanics work is to blame but it is not. We have ASE certifeid mechanics on duty for all repair needs. Most of our mechanics are certifeid welders, [redacted] is certified in both fields. the fact is the trailer was grossly overwieght, but we want to resolve this in a positive manner, so we are offering to help you in this situation.

I don't know how this company gets away with cheating people but they do. DPS called them without my knowledge after a roll over accident and instead of using my AAA which would have been free, I had to pay over $300 for a short tow in Kingman, AZ. These people take advantage and cheat those already in very difficult positions. A terrible company with no American ethics whatsoever. Greedy, selfish, crooked.

On 2-1-2014 [redacted] called us with a breakdown at the 122mm 1-40 involving a trailer that had some damage. We responded with our landoll to tow the trailer to our yard to make the nessarary repairs. We replaced both leaf springs, u-bolts, axle plates, 4 lugnuts and changed a tire for our customer...

and billed them for the repairs. On 2-2-14 our customer called and said they had another breakdown at the same location. We towed the unit in and weight the unit with the customers goods in the trailer. The weight exceded the max load of the trailer by 10,000 pounds. We contacted [redacted] and explained to her that the weight has exceded the trailer manfactuer gross weight by 10,000 pounds. At that time she explained to us that her husband was sick and she didnt have time to deal with the situation that was going on with the trailer. She contacted us and explained that they was going to hire a moving service to pick up the load in the trailer and she would let us know after that exactly what she would do with the trailer. The moving service came with their truck and we helped them move the load into the moving services truck and charged [redacted] nothing for our services with the moving company. We contacted [redacted] and [redacted] about possible buying the trailer, when [redacted] told us the price of the trailer our company felt that it was to much and contacted [redacted] and told her we was not interested. On 3-21-14 we called and left [redacted] a message to contact us. [redacted] called us back and asked about any warranty on the trailer. We explained to her that we have Workmanship warranty on everything we work on here at D&G Towing and Service, however because the total weight of the load in the trailer exceeded the over all weight of the vehicle specs we beilive that it was negligence on their part. We offered to fix the trailer again at cost of parts and 20% labor. [redacted] called us back and informed us that her family members in Las Vegas was going to handle the situation and they would contact us. We waited to hear from anyone regarding this trailer and have received no word from no one. On 4-09-2014 we filed for abandoned title.

It is posted at our office and shop that you have 7 days to pick up your vehicle after completion or if you choose not to have your work done. We have worked with [redacted] and [redacted] in every way we believe we could in this situation. I understand that she is flustrated about the events that happened. We believe that we have done everything possible

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Review: My husband and I were moving across country pulling a cargo trailer. It broke down outside Kingman so O&G towed us, back to Kingman-$1200.00. They said they could fix it and we would be ok but that they really liked this trailer and it would be good for their race car. Said they may want to buy it when we are through. We left after paying almost $700.00. It broke down in the same spot, the same area on the trailer. O&G towed us again and they wanted to fix it again, more money. We found out they have no guarantee on their work. We were now on our way across country, couldn't pay more money so pretty much we were screwed and they knew it as they knew our situation. My husband is ill and I was by myself so they took advantage of the situation since they were able to take over our trailer and keep it for themselves. We would have had to fix the trailer again and find someone to move it. We had to hire a moving company to move our belongings from the trailer. So we are talking about 2 towings, 1-2 repairs, and a moving company. This was very expensive for us and the towing family then refused to buy the trailer as they knew we were crunched and it would be theirs after so many days. Was this a scam and planned?Desired Settlement: just the repair money and second towing amount or the amount they offered to buy the trailer in the beginning.
