In September of 2013 I hired [redacted] and [redacted] to install a metal roof on my house. They said they were bonded and insured, were legal, and had a website. They even had matching "work shirts" that saidD & H construction to make themselves seem legit. I spent over $2500 on roofing materials, and gave them $1600 of our agreed upon fee of $3000. Total investment: over $4000.They proceeded to rip apart and throw away my roof underlayment, including the shingles, and a dead air space made up from 2X4 lumber. Then they installed the new metal roofing, which immediately leaked at the seam when it rained. The roof also looked like crap when supposedly finished. It was new, but by the time they finished it was all bent up and scratched all over. [redacted] and [redacted] also left my chimney wide open, unsealed, and leaking all over my wood stove. When I complained, they came back the next day to fix it. I paid for a new chimney cap they said I needed, and they went out to get it. Problem is, they never returned! I called and called, and called. But I received no return phone calls by either of them. After a couple of weeks I gave up and got someone else. They had to remove all of [redacted] work and start all over again. I call this a health issue because my house has leaked water ever since, and I have a child in my home. The water damage, the buckets all over my house, this just isn't fair! I started checking to see if they really had a legitimate business, but could not find a trace.
