Wrong car hood was ordered.After extensive efforts to work with shop they refuse to refund what I paid.
In June of 2011 I provided the VIN # to shop so they could order a hood.It was ordered and painted.I picked up wrapped hood on July 15. When unwrapped at home, large scratch was noticed.Called shop next day.Was told to return which I did.Picked up repainted hood on November 7. I had difficulty finding someone to help install so installation attempt is not made until May 12,2012.
Hood does not fit car.Call shop. [redacted] says he will look up invoice from his supplier and get back to me.[redacted] calls and tells me he did order/receive wrong hood.He says he might be able to use for someone else bringing in Civic later that day, otherwise he will return or order a new one.From that point forward every time I call shop to check on completion [redacted] gives me excuses for why it is not ready.I call him 18 documented times. One time he even tells me to come pick up hood the next day after 12 noon. I get a truck and go to shop after 12 noon. [redacted] says he can't find hood. Says he thinks junk man took by mistake. I wait almost an hour for him to contact junk man. Finally he tells me he will either get back from junk man or order new.Finally in November of 2012 [redacted] begins avoiding my calls. I now realize I am NEVER GOING TO GET THE CORRECT HOOD for my son's car.On December 7 I call to request a refund for what I paid($212.00). Office manager says she will discuss with [redacted] and get back.I don't hear from them so I call again. [redacted] gets on phone ans tells me he isn't going to do anything for me.Next day I contact [redacted](owner of shop) and explain situation to her. She says she will check into it and get back to me I am still waiting. All I am asking for is the correct hood or a refund for what I paid.
