*** ***
In response to Mr J***'s reply, his timelines are incorrectThere was no prior discussion with us (property owners) as to the manufacturer of the HVAc system as we would have told MrJ*** that we wanted a *** system (which is what we have in the other portion of the house)
The entry door was installed by Mr J*** and it was determined by an independent contractor that the door was installed incorrectlyThe door was further damaged by Mr J***'s employees at the time of the installation*** *** is the company designated by *** to handle their warranty issuesThe warranty replacement of the door does NOT include installation so we had to hire another contractor to install the new door
As far as the insulation is concerned, the fact that we were leaving for a Pirate game at 1:Pm is irrelevant as the insulators were done at 11:AM and I have a copy of a text message that I sent MrJ*** at that time
Again, regarding the brick work, Mr J***'s timelines are incorrect
The crack in the concrete floor was a result of poor workmanship as verified by outside contractor
Scratches in the windows have been identified for verification
There was very little deviation of the porch design from original discussion
The contract clearly states payment terms which 25% was due upon completion which has not happenedThe ONLY thing that has been resolved is the installation of the kitchen cabinet and countertop by an outside contractor
We have sought legal counsel in effort to resolve this matter

At the beginning of project we tore off rear sunporch and patched in roof with titanium paper. 1responded to phone call on 4/22/15 in the morning regarding the leak. Paper appeared to be sound andflashed on inspection and notes the weather pattern at that time. (It rained almost all season)....

Review: We have had problems from the beginning of this project. Scope included demolition of a sun porch and room addition with a full basement. Shortly after the sun porch was removed, we had water entry / damage in both bathrooms and bird entry in to our attic. Problems were not corrected. We are 5 months in to what was communicated as a 45 day project. We have a $3500 door that was damaged by contractor employees that is being replaced. Vendor is covering this through warranty. We have had water entry problems in the basement that ruined the basement carpet. The basement concrete floor is already cracked at the point of the water entry. The contractor stated that the concrete vendor supplied substandard concrete but he used them because they had a front loading truck for access. The floor was poured less than 90 days ago. We were not consulted on the brand of HVAC being installed. Contractor showed up with a low end product that we rejected during installation. We requested a specific brand in June that arrived last week and has been sitting on our porch since with no contact as to when it will be installed. We requested kitchen cabinets and countertop which was botched from the start. The cabinets are mismatched (color) and counter top is already delaminating and was measured incorrectly. And a damaged cabinet door We have had to contact another company ourselves to install cabinets and countertops. We have at least two meetings with the contractor to resolve issues with specific timelines which he signed off on that are still not complete including tile grout, flooring transition and basement electrical. 5 of 6 new windows are scratched (glass). There is a problem recessed lighting ( flickering lights) . some of the vinyl porch railings are scratched and need replaced, etc. The contract stipulates payment terms as: 25% due when foundation was poured which has been paid. 25% when addition is under roof which has been paid. These two items combined were a total of $49,500.00. 25% due on completion of addition. 25% due upon restoration of landscape and gravel driveway. These have not been paid as these items are still not complete. In addition the contractor has threatened to take us to court and sue for the balance which is clearly stipulated in the contract that payment is due UPON completionDesired Settlement: Completion of contract scope and payment to contractor less kitchen cabinets and possibly HVAC if we have to have another authorized vendor installation
