[redacted] made arrangements for [redacted] to pick up her property. D & J Management is no longer liable for the lost property.

Review: On 3/*/2015, me and two friends took a NYC Yellow Taxi from [redacted] and [redacted] to [redacted] and [redacted]. At the end of the taxi ride, after paying the driver, we asked him to pop the trunk so we could get our bags out of the trunk. (We were on our way to a bus to return home to Washington DC). Before I had time to get to the back of the car, the taxi driver drove off with the trunk open and my bag still in the trunk. The bag contains thousands of dollars worth of my personal property. I tried to chase the taxi, but the driver drove off too quickly. We waited for ten minutes, but the driver never returned, and we had to leave to catch our bus. After calling my credit card company and tracking down the Taxi company, I contacted D&J Management. They informed me that they had my bag, but I would have to call [redacted] and arrange for them to come get the bag and deliver it to my home address. I informed the gentleman of the situation and said that I did not feel that I should pay, as the mistake was not my fault. After MANY phone calls and explaining the situation many times, they still refuse to pay to have my bag sent to me. As the bag contains many personal items that I need, I'm paying to have the bag shipped back to me, but I would like a refund for the shipping payment. The taxi driver was the one who drove off with thousands of dollars worth of my belongings, and now I have to pay [redacted] to get my belongs back. In addition, D&J Management has been anything but helpful. They have been extremely rude and refuse to help me in any way. Their complete lack of customer service and understanding for my situation brings me to tears.Desired Settlement: I would like D&J Management of Queens to refund my [redacted] shipping expense. Their taxi driver was the one who drove off with his trunk open and my belongs still in the trunk of his taxi. The mistake was not on my end, and I do not believe that I should have had to pay to have my belongs shipped back to me.
