Our Service Manager in Hilo, MrGreg C***, has been attempting to contact Mr*** to discuss the matter further but he has not returned his calls. Please have Mr*** contact Greg at ***.We originally did get an estimate to repair his tail gate though it was inconclusive as
to when it was damaged or by whom. Mr*** wanted us to pay him directly for the estimate amount rather than paying the vendor, *** *** *** *** ***, for the repair in addition he wanted us to replace the tailgate versus repairing it. He also went directly to *** and asked them to sign over the check from us for the repair rather than completing the repair. That is when I rescinded our offer.I did email Mr*** and told him we would complete warranty repairs either in Hilo or Kona at his convenience but we would decline to do any other repairs as it does not seem to meet his expectations.Thank you,Jackie D* *** ***, President, ***

Revdex.com:Customer bought in a used truck to our service **partment in Hilo that he purchased from a private owner, a [redacted] with approximately 173,000 miles.  He did not purchase vehicle from us and we do not have any other service history except this one...

repair done on 1/20/2016 for water pump and timing belt which the customer authorized and we completed for a total of $1355.  A few weeks later, truck was towed in due to overheating.  The head gasket was blown and we have him an estimate to repair for $2800 with a 20% discount.  Customer is insistent that the subsequent repair was caused by the first repair on January 20th.  Mr. [redacted] spoke to myself, as well as our service manager, Greg C[redacted], and our master technician, Jason P[redacted], and we attempted several times to explain why the second repair was unrelated and not caused by the first repair however the customer believes we should be responsible for the $2800 repair. We have told him that we would offer the discount and repair the vehicle or he would have to remove his truck (which is driveable) from our lot.  He has not returned our calls and his truck remains here.  Please relay to customer that we need him to authorize repair or pick up his vehicle by 2/29/2016, or we will tow his vehicle to [redacted] in Hilo as an abandoned vehicle.Thank you,Jackie [redacted] W[redacted], [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Ms. [redacted] purchased this vehicle used from another dealership; she has brought the vehicle to us because she believed it was covered under Chevrolet warranty and we are the Chevrolet dealer on the Big Island.  Our service facilities are in Hilo; she resides in Kona.  The vehicle is out of...

warranty but because she contacted GM Customer Assistance, we did attempt to help her.  However on each occasion she has claimed that we damaged or otherwise caused other unrelated repairs to her vehicle. At this time it does not appear that we are able to satisfy her concerns and we will decline any further attempts to repair her vehicle.  We have tried numerous times to help Ms. [redacted] in both Hilo and Kona and each time it has ended with her screaming at both service managers (Greg and Cara) and complaining to various sources how we are unwilling to help her (GM CAC and Market Trends the agency that surveys our customers for service repairs and now Revdex.com).While I understand her frustration, we have tried to understand her needs and assist her however she is not reasonable in her demands and unwilling to pay for repairs as the vehicle is no longer under warranty or she claims we damaged it while we had her vehicle in for an unrelated repair and insist we repair/fix it for free. Our suggestion is that she take it back to the dealer or another repair shop.Thank you,Jackie De Luz Watanabe, President808.974.2237
