I began using Sparkle cleaning in June 2013. When I started using their service I was told they would bill me for their services. On June 29th, I had not received a billing statement but opted to call in and make a payment. I never received a detail invoice but the amount I paid was $145.85.
On August 2nd, I was surprised to see an amount processing out of my bank account to Sparkle for $312.40. I had not received an invoice and I never authorized automatic deductions out of my bank account. When I came into my office on August 5th, there was an invoice breaking down the amount they withdrew from my account. I don't agree with the charges but I guess that is a separate issue. The invoice showed it was prepared 07/31/13 and had a due date of 08/15/13. Also included was a credit card receipt for $312.40 that was processed 08/01/13.
I never authorized them to keep my financial information. I never authorized automatic payments. I am completely appalled that they would use my information without my permission. I am concerned about my privacy and unsure how they are storing my info.
I called them and was given a weak apology. The young man apologized for the bad service and said there must have been a miscommunication regarding the auto deduct. He said he spoke with the owner and all the charges were correct.
My main concern is the unauthorized financial card deduction but I am also dissatisfied with the service that was provided. I had alterations done on expensive jeans that were not completed in the way I had requested. One piece specifically the alteration began to break apart. Instead of repairing it at no charge, they took the item and charged me again! Some of my clothes have been damaged in their washing machine. One top had a stain that I pointed out and when it came back, the stain was still present.
I need to know that there will be no other charges on my card. I need to be assured that my personal information is being kept private and no longer in this business's possession. They need to know they can't just to charge people's financial card's at their will.
