Needed carubator cleaned. they said it had a knock in engine, need overhaul.should of only been about 1to 2 monnths a most to do Eveery time I call them it is another excuse why they haven't finished it.I don't know what to do next. Can you'lle help if possible? Thank you very much [redacted]Desired Settlement: Just finish the bike up and return.

Review: I brought my 2003 Kawasaki ZZR1200 in to have a severe oil leak repaired in May 2013. I was given an estimate of around $550,(which seemed high but since I didn't know how to fix it my self so my son sent the money to pay for the repairs, so brought it in to be worked on at Hall's). After about a week and a half I was told that it was fixed. I picked it up, (after paying $874.45) and it "seemed" fixed since they cleaned it to find the leak, it didn't smoke). But the next day there was a puddle of oil and it smoked just like before I brought it to them. I brought it back and they said it would be fixed if I paid an additional $276. I got mad and said I paid enough already. I spent hours waiting to talk to[redacted] the General Manager. They said I could wait but he was busy. This happen 3 times and I was even able, eventually, to talk to the owner. He said they did too much work for the money already and said, "we're done". I took it to a Master auto tech and a biker friend of mine, who owns a ZX14. He said all it needed was one "O"-ring (less than $10). I paid him $220 which even included the labor to replace the "O"-ring and a leaking water pump which Hall's didn't even see was leaking! Even the service writer, [redacted], said she got a mirror and could see where it was leaking and that was after the so called "repairs were done" at Hall's.Desired Settlement: I think the very minimum should be a refund $220 that I paid the mechanic to cover the cost of fixing what Hall's was unable to do. To be fair, I should probably be refunded double that amount for the unnecessary work I paid for that did not need to be done.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Hall's Motorsports regarding complaint ID 9796637.

Regards,

[redacted] - P. S. when I was able to personally talk to the owner, he seemed very unconcerned about resolving the situation. At one point I was so frustrated that I agreed to just accept the necessary parts they said I needed to have it fixed by my own mechanic friend. The GM had told me they would give me the parts that totalled about $77, but when I went in to get the parts, the owner told me he wouldn't give them to me even though the manager told me they would. As it turned out even the price of the parts was overinflated. It was only one $8 "0" ring and it doesn't leak a drop of oil since my friend fixed it. So I'm not surprised that they didn't respond. To me good business is when both the company and the customer are happy, not just the company. Please keep trying because I was definiently extremely overcharged and I received NOTHING but frustration for $100s of dollars. Thank you
