D. L. Plumbing & Mechanical Reviews (1)
D. L. Plumbing, (registered contractors with City of Dayton)failed to get permit for gas leak testing/repairs on my property.
I contacted D. L. Plumbing, from the City of Datyon Building Services registered contractors list. I met with Mr. [redacted] who gave me an estimate of $220 to perform a gas leak test and $325 to complete any repairs. I later find out that he started the work without getting the required permit from the City of Dayton to do the work/repairs. He leaves my property without completing the work; left my property unlocked. When I call him to inquire, he tells me that he is on his way back from Cincinnati. I again ask him about pulling the permit and he advises that he will do it. I later get calls from ** at AC Plumbing (another registered contractor) who advises that [redacted] borrowed his Coleman gauge and he needs it back, thus pulling me into the middle of the situation. I meet ** at my house to give him his gauge and advise [redacted] accordingly. It becomes clear that D L Plumbing apparently doesn't have their own tools and more damaging, fails to pull the permit to do gas piple work at my property. Moreover, when I raised these concerns with [redacted], he becomes defensive and argumentative, stating that ** works for him, which I find hard to believe since AC Plumbing is also a registered contractor with the City, thus it raises the in integrity/truthfulness issue to these other issues. [redacted] now demands payment of $300 for incomplete work without a permit from the city and no bill identifying why I am being charged. When I demanded a bill, he states he will have to get one for me. **l of this raises major concerns for me from a "registered contractor" with the City.
