D-Lux Karate

Amazing staff and teachers. They do not give away belts and make my kids earn them. I see lots of parents and kids make excuses instead of making themselves better. Thank you for pushing my kids

My son had been doing karate for 13 months. Four times during the summer we went to a scheduled class and no one was there to teach. After the 4th time my 5 year old son asked if he could take a break and try a different sport. My husband called and left a message explaining that our son wanted to take a break from karate and he asked that the company that handled our automatic billing be notified. The 1st of October our checking account showed a debit of $110. I immediately contacted D-lux karate and was told that the billing company would be contacted. The following day I got an e-mail stating that our request was denied. I contacted the billing company and was told I was under contract and that it could not be broken. When I asked what she was talking about she said that the billing agreement was a contract. I explained to the person that [redacted] told me that he used a billing company because he has a hard time keeping his billing straight. I also explained to her that [redacted] specifically stated in his office that if my son who is only 5 changed his mind it was no big deal. Never once did he state that this was a contract. He lied to me and did not explain his billing procedures honestly. Because of this I have contacted my bank and put a stop payment on the account. I have paid for every session my son ever went to including the 4 scheduled classes that no one came to teach. I feel had [redacted] been honest I would have paid cash. I was trying to make it easier for him and unfortunately was not dealing with an honest person. I referred a friend of mine to him and he did the same exact thing. He explained how the billing was just easier and when she went to stop the classes because school was starting again she was told she couldn't. Very poor business practices are in a place at D-Lux karate and because of that I won't ever refer [redacted] again.
