D M I Collision Center Reviews (4)

We had done business with DMI Collision in the past and was very satisfied with themWe went back to them when our van needed work from an accident last winterThe problems started when they told us that it would take two weeks to complete the workNow with the damage that was done, I figured it would be at least three weeksAfter two and half weeks we called to check on the status they told us they had trouble finding the parts needed and that it would be another week to getWe called a week later and they told us the van wasn't finished and still working on itAnother week later we called and they told us that they were still working on it and had completely stripped the insides to replace the roofFinally after months of waiting, they finally had the van put together and ready
Upon inspection, I found multiple problems such as missing screws (placing tape over to hide), burn holes and glue residue in our carpet, missing covers that hide screws and the seat hinge, the headliner was stained the van side door was misaligned and caused scratches in the window frame area, missing covers for the seat belt, paint (matching the color of our van) on some of the covers that were installed, and lastly the inside was filthy! It's like all the parts they removed were left in the garage area left to collect dust and wasn't cleaned when put back together, they also left their greasy fingerprints all overWe talked to ** and he attempted to correct most of the problems, but when we got it back we continue to find more problems, like the weather stripping is now coming apart on us and they still didn't bother to clean the van like we askedBroken glass was still scattered about
So we didn't bother to have it corrected anymore, because more damage was being done before we gave it to them to fixLike we mentioned before, we were happy with the results before, but something seriously wrong happened along the wayI'm really disappointed and sorry to say, we won't be doing business there anymoreI'll also be letting my friends, family and neighbors know that this is not the place to get your vehicle fixed

I took my minivan to DMI Collision after sliding off a road and tearing up the plastic bumper cover assembly The initial conversations I had with the owner were pleasant and professional, and I left the vehicle with them confident it was in good hands The repairs took a couple days longer than originally estimated, but it was right around the New Year and I can understand how that might delay getting parts in as usual DMI more than made up for the delay in two ways First, the evening we went to pick up the vehicle, a snowfall and traffic accident turned I-into a parking lot for a few hours We called ahead, and two of the team stayed over an hour after closing time so that we could get there and get our van Second, our 11-year old van seemed showroom clean/polished when we got into it! I was surprised when I wrote this to see the couple negative reviews from a couple years ago, but my experience indicates they've learned from feedback Would definitely go back

We have been doing business with DMI Collision for the last several years and have been more than pleased with their excellent work. We have recommended them to friends. However, we had a problem recently that will keep me from doing business with them in the future.
I recently took my car in for the front fender to be repaired on a Monday. I did not receive a call as to the status of the car so I called DMI on Friday afternoon and was told it was ready to be painted but they were having problems with the painter and there were seven cars ahead of us. The painter would be working the weekend to catch up. It should be ready Monday or Tuesday.
I called Tuesday. They had no idea when it would be ready….maybe in a few days.
I called Thursday and talked to the owner [redacted] Advised that I had never been called by anyone. He reiterated the problem with employee and hoped to have it ready by Friday or Monday but would call Friday to let me know the status.
He did not call Friday. I called Monday….car has now been at DMI for two weeks. I talked to ** who said the car would be ready by Wednesday for sure but he would call Tuesday. He did not call. I called late afternoon Tuesday and I was told by an employee that if ** said Wednesday than Wednesday it would be . She promised to call by 11 am on Wednesday. She did not call. I called in the afternoon and was told it would be ready on Thursday.
Thursday morning I received my first call from DMI….just short of three weeks from dropping off the car. When I picked up the car I was presented with a bill which was $500 over the estimate because they had to put on a new fender.
It is common business practice to call a customer to advise of additional repairs/cost. I do not know why they didn’t do this. I also was disappointed that they didn’t own up to their lack of service and at least apologize.
