Attached photos are both sides of the fireplace, as you can see, very obviously, chimney is the issue Need professional judgement or testing to see where the water come from, they have been here or times, if they are willing to solve the problem, they can come back to look into more The professional, experienced people can point out or reasons, it's not hard, need days work,(wait for dry) and back to do 2nd application, but DM Thompson only do day job, (both times), may be that's the reason the coating peeled off so easy. The other thing is the photos shows the damp start from the middle of the wall, not from the top or around the window,One masonary supervisor pointed out the Apron flashing (shoulders) is the area need work, same as my roofing company said (I emailed to DM T, you could read the forwarding Email I sent earlier today), they don't like to hear the suggestion(because they didn't figure out by themselves) and they don't want to finish the work. Thanks, good day! [redacted] I am the customer, relied on your knowledge and expertise to solve the problem of the leakingThe job not completed, because some coating didn't stay well and still have some gaps between bricksHad other professionals checked the house and suggestions, they are willing to work with you (they will remove the siding and will put back the siding), so you can fix that shoulder part, and don't have to worry about the sidingI understand the work mentioned above is extra, and I always say to you that I am willing to pay you any extra for the extra work reasonably as long as the leaking problem fixedIf you have never thought that the metal flashing is the issue, let you know this opinion is not only from my siding company but also from a Masonry and roofing Production Supervisor from a big local builderLearning from each other actually is a good thing, you must give us Complaint: [redacted] Regards, [redacted] **

We came out and gave [redacted] and estimate on 5/10/(see estimate 2289) and did the work on 5/25/(see Invoice #1701)Some small work was added from the original estimate for $150.00.At the time of the estimate [redacted] had shown us leaking inside by the windows and by the chimneyWe advised her that we did not believe the leak was coming through the chimney, however the chimney needed the work regardless On July 13th we returned at the request of [redacted] to look at the chimney again because she was still getting a leakWe once again informed her that the chimney was not the source of her problem, but we could come back out and tuck point a few more areas and re-waterproof the chimneyThis was done on August 8th She then informed us that a home inspector said it could be coming through the flashing.( keep in mind the home inspector is not a mason or chimney expert) We did not estimate or repair the flashing [redacted] then called again and sent several emails saying the siding company stated that the chimney was the problem and the crown needed replaced(keep in mind the siding company is not a mason or chimney expert) We went out for the last time on 8/25/2017, looked at the crown and made sure nothing was wrong with the chimney We then informed [redacted] once again that nothing was wrong with the chimney She then emailed again on 9/stating that it was the chimney and that we did not bid to replace the crown and threatened to call the Revdex.comShe was informed to call whoever she wanted, and that the chimney work was completed and we are done with her and her chimneyI’m not sure if there is a language barrier or she is just taking advice from non masons or chimney experts, but she was informed from the very beginning that the chimney was not the cause of her water issuesWe consider this matter closed.David T [redacted] DM Thompson Chimney Repair Specialist

DM Thompson did the work but not lasting long, weeks later, the crown coat and mortar came off, I sent the photos to [redacted] who is handling this case.  The point is not how many times you have been here, the point is that you didn't do right, if you did right, the coat will stay for many years.  Not only my roofing company can see how bad it is of your work, but also other masonry company knows about your company.  And more people will know.I never thought about asking money back, because I always thought you would back at least to take a look, now I realized that not only take a look or response the photos I sent to you, but totally refused to admit the bad job you did.I have to pay other people to fix your mass which you are responsible to fix.Regards,

We came out and gave [redacted] and estimate on 5/10/2017 (see estimate 2289) and did the work on 5/25/2017 (see Invoice #1701). Some small work was added from the original estimate for $150.00.At the time of the estimate [redacted] had shown us leaking inside by the windows  and by the chimney. We...

advised her that we did not believe the leak was coming through the chimney, however the chimney needed the work regardless.  On July 13th we returned at the request of [redacted] to look at the chimney again because she was still getting a leak. We once again informed her that the chimney was not the source of her problem, but we could come back out and tuck point a few more areas and re-waterproof the chimney. This was done on August 8th.  She then informed us that a home inspector said it could be coming through the flashing.( keep in mind the home inspector is not a mason or chimney expert) We did not estimate or repair the flashing.  [redacted] then called again and sent several emails saying the siding company stated that the chimney was the problem and the crown needed replaced. (keep in mind the siding company is not a mason or chimney expert) We went out for the last time on 8/25/2017, looked at the crown and made sure nothing was wrong with the chimney.  We then informed [redacted] once again that nothing was wrong with the chimney.  She then emailed again on 9/20 stating that it was the chimney and that we did not bid to replace the crown and threatened to call the Revdex.com. She was informed to call whoever she wanted, and that the chimney work was completed and we are done with her and her chimney. I’m not sure if there is a language barrier or she is just taking advice from non masons or chimney experts, but she was informed from the very beginning that the chimney was not the cause of her water issues. We consider this matter closed.David T[redacted]DM Thompson Chimney Repair Specialist
