I purchased a used Honda Pilot from Atlantic Auto Brokers in March 2013. My tag fee was included in the pricing of my Bill of Sale and I have yet to receive my permanent tag. I have contacted the dealership and spoke to [redacted] (the same dealer who sold me the vehicle) on an almost weekly basis and was told "oh another week", "the state of GA is holding up vehicle purchases because of the new ad valorem tax", and "any day now". It has been almost four months. The purchase was financed through my credit union bank and the bank sent me my third and final notice stating that the GA title has yet to be issued in their name. The bank informed me to contact the GA DMV to check to see if there were a possible hold up on title registration. The DMV informed me that there was no record of an application for title under my VIN. I have been getting the run around from the dealership and now the bank has threatened to increase my loan rate through no fault of my own. I make my payments on time and in excess. I also learned that the dealer was not supposed to keep re-issuing temporary tags, and I was not the only complaint that they had in the last couple of weeks about Atlantic Auto Brokers. The DMV told me that my purchase date showed June 1, 2013 and that the dealer has been changing my purchase date every time that he issued a new temporary tag.I confronted the dealer over a recorded phone call where he admitted this is what he had to do and denied any responsibility of paperwork for the tag. He sounded very unconcerned about the situation, assured me this was happening to others and told me that "it is dealing with you". That's when I reminded him that it is not just me but the bank is involved as well because they are wanting to know why the title is not in their name. His response, "Oh! I did not know that!" He said that another employee Deanna handles the paperwork and that I should speak with her about the matter. She was not in the office, he did not know when she would come into the office, and I could not leave a message for her.
