Around 8:AM [redacted] called regarding the tub is leaking water,and I ask him on the phone how many knob or handle shower he have he said 3handle,I told him if I have to replace the gasket or washer and seat metal is $ he said come over,whe I get there diagnosting the problem I notice main water turn off and the shower handle stemp broke or strip he ask me if I carry a part I said I carry only most common part and tool,I remove the broken shower stemp and I told him to pay extra $for the part or he can go buy the part and put him self,he said let me talk to my wife,while they talking im listening he said to her its gonna be $part and labor but I can do this he said,wife respond let him do it,then [redacted] sign the actual estimate after I have purchase the new shower stemp and install and tested he told me that this is the second time to broke the part and replace and he acting weird and start complaining,He said he gonna pile a complain to Revdex.com because my estimate over the phone is not accurate and he said my daugther work in THE RECORD the news paper company where I advertise my Business that NOT ACCEPTING MY BUSINESS to advertise,I rather start my truck and go away than urguing him

This response is almost exactly what I first noted, however, there was not another instance where the shower handle has broke r been stripped downThis was the first time that we had to have this repairedWhen the call was made to D'Plumber the situation was explained entirelySo, with him sounding surprised that there was another issue, that is kind of humoring
Now in regards to The Record, local newspaper here in Stockton, rejecting the advertising of this person that is completely untrue as this is not the practice of how we (because I am the daughter who works there) do business in a professional environmentIf in fact The Record is rejecting his advertising, it has to do with something solely with him and his account standing
I feel there is not resolution hereI would still like this complaint to be made public record as I feel this is not good working practicesI understand that there can be issues and misunderstandings, however, when in business you want to work with your clients to make a compromising solutionThis is not how this is working out

Review: Called and spoke with [redacted] regarding a problem with my shower, cold water knob. He said that he would be able to fix it and had the parts for $126 total. Once he arrived he informed me that there is additional charge for the part because he did NOT have it. It would be an additional $30. When I questioned about the additional cost, he told me that I could just fix it myself. He then went to hand the parts that he removed back to me to do myself. I am Senior Citizen and I am not able to fix things myself. He left me in a bind because I needed to have it fixed. I am upset being already quoted a total cost which included parts and now being charged an additional amount. I did have him complete the work and paid him in cash $156. I voiced my concerns to him and advised I was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com. He started to hand me back $60 and I went to take it when he just pulled it back and put it in his pocket. He told me to go ahead and file the complaint. I understand that prices can change, however, when I was told that he could fix my problem and had the parts and it would only cost me $126 and then to change the cost AFTER he removed the parts is extremely unprofessional. What else was I supposed to do other than pay the amount? If this is how this man conducts business, people are going to be taken advantage of every time. I don't even know if his License if valid. LIC# [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like this incident to be duly noted in hopes that if this is a reaccuring complaint, something will be done about unprofessional conduct.
