I agree with the customer's statement in their complaint except for the fact that we left and did not return to the job siteOn the day we poured the concrete (May 4th) and it did not set up properly, the homeowners, **& *** ***,
came out into the yard and became verbally abusive to usInstead of having an unprofessional discussion, we left for the dayAfter allowing a few days for the customer to calm down, we called the customer, told them that the bad pour and concrete set up was due to aged materials sold to us by a supplier, not our workmanshipThe customer again was verbally abusive and angry and demanded his deposit be returnedWe explained that it was our intent to come and rectify the situation but the homeowner said he wasn't interested in anything but his money backWe tried to explain that we had material & labor costs incurred from the pour as well as disposal costs from removing existing materials from the site (original sidewalk) but again, the homeowner was only interested in getting his money back.On May 17th we called the customer to have a calm discussion and offered to meet regarding a resolutionThe homeowner returned our call on the 18th and said he would be in agreement to close the issue if his deposit was returned, in full, ($2725.00) plus $for damages to remove the recently poured concrete.On May 21, I met with the homeowners and gave them a Cashiers Check in the amount of $,(copy of receipt attached)The homeowners and I shook hand, they accepted the check and signed the release of liability form, copy attached.As of this day, May 21, I believe the matter has been professionally resolved and all parties are agreement to close the case-Should you have any questions or need additional information, please don't hesitate to contact me via US MailRespectfully submitted,
