Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
I was not rude, at first, and throughout the process: maybe to them I was rudeBut let me ask, would you be rude if you were shown 7, or apartments that you would not let an animal live in, much less a human being? And then, there was the processI have lived all over this country, many, many times over, and dealt with rental agencies in my travelsBut I don't ever remember waiting almost two weeks to get an apartmentThere were things wrong in most of these apartments, and as far as I was concerned, they had me coming back again and again, only to be told they were still in evaluationEvaluation for what, pray tell? I was also driving back and forth, miles one-way to only be told there were still in evaluationThey told me I had passed the credit check days before I came back down to: what I thought would be a signing of the lease, only to be told once again they were evaluatingevaluating what? I guess in the end, I thought I had been fair with these people, and if they consider me rude, it was because I questioned anyone living in some of the places I was shown, and if that was rude, then so be itBut to jack me around with all these evaluations, and all the money I spent going back and forth - I have looked for apartments before and got one rented in the same day in many places I have lived, but honestly, had a had a job, and not been retired due to my health, I would never, ever had the time to rent anything from this company.Sincerely,*** ***

With regards to Mr *** ***We scheduled many appointments and spendseveral hours's showing Mr *** many of our apartments open at that timeThistotals up to about hoursDespite his rude behavior we did what we could to help himfind an
apartment suitable for himAfter he submitted his application we had to ask forinformation that he did not provideOur application does state that you need to fill it outcompletelyWe did contact him that he was approvedHe did not respond to our phonecallHis claim that he drove miles is interesting because miles would have put himout of town in another town.The application docs state that the screening charge is non refundable, Thescreening that the fee pays for was completed and therefore the screening fee was earned.Mr*** did in fact decline the apartmentWe had contacted him several timesregarding this apartment and be did not return our phone call until the 16th of Novemberwhen he declined the apartment.At no time did he deviate from his rude behaviorI feel that he was takingadvantagte of us and our timeThe average applicant uses about hour to look at unitsand about 15-min to submit an application, including missing information provided.Mr*** took at least hourshourly appointments and an additional hour insubmitting the application and providing missing informationI believe this to be morethan a fair amount of time that we provided to him to assist him in finding a unitOfwhich we did not get paid for.The screening charge is for the screening process and the time and fee's that weincur in that processNot for the time we take to show units.This is the first that we have heard that he was requesting his screening fee returnedlbelieve that we more than earned that $screening charge and therefore it will not bereturned to him.SincerelyDarci A B***D.R.C.'s Property Management Inc
