The moving company damaged (ripped) love seat in transit. Company stated they would have someone out to access the damage,but never heard back.
I hired the moving company to move my things to keep them from being damaged in transit.The movers were very unprofessional, I had to ask them to drape cloth my furniture. One of the guys attempted to take a dresser down the steps by himself and ended up dropping it and when I addressed the issue, he became upset. I observed them sliding my leather couch across the back of the truck and asked them to pick it up so the leather under the couch does not get damaged. [redacted] and [redacted] where the movers. [redacted] expressed that he just wants to hurry up and get this move over because I was getting on his nerves. My love seat was damaged in transit, there is a tear in the fabric, I called the manager the day of the move which was Saturday 5/3/2014 and he stated he would have Mr. [redacted] to come out next week and evaluate the tear to see if it was old or new and go from there. I never received a follow up call, I have called several times and received still no results. I called today and was told the reason they have not gotten back with me is because they have been busy. The manager asked if I read the contract and I stated yes and I wrote a note on there as instructed by him detailing the tear in the love seat. The manager became belligerent, began shouting, and said they would not send anyone out to access the damage. The manager used very abrasive language and eventually hung up in my face.
