STAY FAR AWAY FROM DSB...
**I wrote this review 4 months ago and STILL nothing has changed. The eviction attorney doesn't know how to file simple paperwork so we've been to court I believe now 5-6 times and they still can't seem to get the actual problem tenant out... Now they are refusing to give me back my security deposit the got illegally and trying to charge me fees that were not agreed to in my lease. Looks like I'll be going to court with this one. I see many other reviews where people have been through similar problems and I hope to help the process of shutting this GOD AWFUL FRAUDULENT COMPANY DOWN... Absolutely TERRIBLE! The property manager, Chanell is allowing another tenant who has harrassed several other tenants, damaged our property (my car) by throwing things at me and my family (door knobs, plates, glasses, etc.) screaming, cussing and eventually led up to her assaulting my oldest son with a hammer. We've reported all of this to Chanell NUMEROUS times and this crazy lady is STILL living on this property. This all started in June...it's now almost December. Me and my family rent 4 units and when we ask to break our lease because it was clear our safety was NOT important we were denied to be able to break it without penalty. I requested that dsb pay for the $1,500 + damage to my car, they said I had to sue the tenant that caused it. Knowing that if Chanell did her job correctly, that would not have happened. Chanell will now not speak to me or return any messages or emails because I let her know how upset I am and how unprofessional and uncaring she is. She "felt I was attacking her"! What else can I do but LOLOLOLOL about that. We are stuck here until our lease is up but I fully intend on exposing these worthless excuse for landlords, property management, and all else as much as I possibly can. I'm sure they will be as happy to see me go as I will. Funny how I became "the problem child" and Chanell coddles the actual problem child to make sure she doesn't lose her rental vouchers and never mind the hardworking tenants that just want peace. Bang up job DSB and ESPECIALLY to Chanell who "runs numerous properties" but can't seem to get one right!

Continuous and unresolved noise complains with my upstairs neighbor with emailed proof. 2. Lack of needed paperwork: my lease, and compliance with noise complains. I'm always being ignored.3. Lack of proper maintenance to building after several requests being made to [redacted]. This property is no place for anyone to live if one wishes to get a good nights sleep.I have proof in writing to support these claims.[redacted] of [redacted], [redacted]. Seattle, WA

[redacted] apartments has addressed the noise complaints by both having conversations with and by posting written warnings to the door of the tenants who live above [redacted]. However further action is not merited due to the lack of verification. As for the copy of the lease he has requested, he was provided one at the lease signing as well as he is welcome to come in to our office during normal hours to pick up a copy. He is aware of both the location and time of our office hours which is located only a couple of miles from his apartment. Finally we have emailed him a copy of his lease as a courtesy hoping it will help relieve his frustration.

Yes, I have received a copy of my lease and the noise from the upstairs neighbors has stopped for now. If the problem persists I will have audio/video proof to support my claim.

However, if issues arise again and are not handled in a professional manner I will reopen the case.

This is the second time I have rented an apartment from dsb investments. The first time I was repeatedly lied to about a black mold issue in the building, until it was absolutely undeniable that "poor ventilation" was the issue, and at that point I was let out of the lease. My son has long term issues due to excessive mold inhalation.

This time my family moved into our new apartment (that wasn't ready when we signed our lease) to discover the following evening, a severe cockroach infestation. I'm told by other residents that this is an ongoing problem. In addition, the kitchen is in desperate need of cabinet replacement, which I was lead to believe was going to happen prior to move in. One of the cabinets is nailed shut because the door is broken.

To say I am livid is an understatement. I've been told our apartment has been "scheduled for treatment later this week" but they won't tell me the date. House keeping had to come the second day after we moved in because the bathroom, kitchen and windows hadn't been cleaned, and then forgot to clean the windows.
