I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I just wanted to follow up on this matter.We finally (after much hassle) received compensation for the damage done to our property,
so that matter is resolved.That said, we never actually communicated with anyone from D&S Construction (the company that held the permit for the construction) While everything is vague, what seems to be the case is this: a company called JT Construction was hired to do the work, but they are neither licensed nor registered in Minnesota to do constructionBecause the company actually doing the work could not obtain permits, D&S Construction obtained the permits for them (but never had anything to do with what was going on at the property).I completely understand that this is outside of your scope; however, it's worth noting that this is a really problematic situation for consumers. D&S Construction, by letting other companies essentially use their license, make it extremely hard for consumers to have any sort of legal recourse when issues arise because other companies that are not bonded and do not carry insurance end up doing the actual work.Of course, in this situation, the neighbor who hired this company should have been a smarter consumer, but as neighbors of his property, we were the ones left trying to sort all this out.Thanks again for everything you and your organization does!~*** ***
