Lied and failed to meet a deadline that they agreed to make and lied about buying products that were never bought and makes excuses on refunding money. On may 2 I went to the shop to discuss the work I wanted done to my 2013 mitsubishi lancer. I talked to the mechanic figured out the price range of the parts needed then I talked to the owner. Owner named [redacted] clearly agreed several times that he could have everything done by May friday 13 which is me getting out the marine corps date (eas) I couldn't stress that enough that I would be leaving and not coming back on that day. He said $4000 would cover for all the parts needed on my car. I paid with my credit card $4000 on his square card swipper that was connected to his phone, only a written receipt was given at that time. On may 5th I texted him to see what the stauts of my car was, he told me through text that the engine was being pulled out and worked on at that time. I arrived Friday to the shop with my friend who had his alignment and some other stuff done to his car. We were there because the owner had charged him $500 down for parts, then a total on the receipt was around $1600 but the owner never subtracted the $500 that was originally put down. My friend told him the day of and he asked for his card information to put back the money but instead he took an additional $500 that is when we arrived on friday to clear up the situation. He told my friend it would show up on his card the next day but only $500 appeared back on not the $1000 that should have been back on. At that time I saw that my car was in the lot with the engine still in it. I confronted him he then changed his story to, "well thats the first thing we are going to do on it" so I was lied to. He had excuses for days. He said all the parts were back ordered. I then asked him to price out the total then how much the job was going to be with labor. He looked at me and said he didn't have time for that, and that it was going to take awhile to do, he said this right after I saw he wasn't busy and I asked him if he had time he said yes. He then said he was diabetic and hasn't eaten all day. So I told him I would run over to do some errands. I came back shortly and he was outside talking to the mechanic instead of eating. So I asked him if the car was going to be ready by friday he told me no. I told him that that was apart of the agreement it was the only way I was doing this he never came in contact with me about parts being delayed or anything. At that time I told him I had to take my car back because I couldn't leave it there pass my eas date. So I asked for my refund he said well I ordered parts for it and that he had to send them back that there was going to be a fee that he had to charge. The mechanic told me he never ordered the parts because they didn't have everything he needed at once and was going to wait to they got all the parts so nothing was ordered for the engine. He said well I still ordered the outside parts for your car. I went and called the places where the car parts were suppose to be ordered and there were no record of his phone number on file when I asked the owner for the order numbers and that I found out the ebay is 100% money back and [redacted] would only charge $15 for restock but I needed the order number to find out. He told me that wasn't my job it was his to do. On May 9 he texted me saying that he would only give me $3000 back until he figures out how much he needed for the stuff. At this time I have not received any money back what so ever. Desired Settlement I want full refund of my money ($4000).

This place told me they were going to replace transmission control module and they were buying the part from dodge of willmington nc. I called dodge of willmington and they said he didn't not purchase part from them by typing in the Vin number from van that part was to be replaced. Recorded conversation when went to repair shop and the owner of the shop still tried to lie about the part being purchased from dodge. After confronting him that I already called and confirmed he did not buy part from them he admitted to buying it online but can can't tell me where it was purchased nor show me a receipt where he bought it. I do believe he he used a junkyard to purchase part from concidering I paid him for part on a Friday afternoon and by early Monday he told me that it was fixed. I dont believe they would have shipped that fast. Price was wrote down 295 for new computer.van is still not fixed and doing same thing as when brought in to repair shop.Product_Or_Service: diagnosis for van not running properlyDesired SettlementI wish to get my money back for I do not belive he repaired van on the terms that were agreed upon when he told me price and where part was being purchased in the total of 629.00

I received work done on my car, and got charged multiple times for the work.Me and my buddy both went to D&S to get work done on our cars on may 4th. I needed my tires aligned and check engine light source examined. upon further examination the mechanic showed me the shocks were a lot more degraded than we thought. and that I had a leak in the fluid systems. The owner [redacted] said he needed 500 dollars down to get parts so I paid him with my debit card on his phone card scanner attachment. They told me to come pickup my car on the 6th. I came back on the 6th and received my final bill of 1566 dollars. On my drive back I realized that I had paid for parts twice, on the 4th and on the final bill. I called and told him, and I gave him my banking information again so he could refund me that extra 500 dollars, but instead of returning my 500 dollars he took another 500 dollars out. So at this point he had an extra 1000 of mine. I called once again and told him and he kept saying he'd fix it but had to wait for the bank to roll over. So the next morning I checked my bank again and only received 500 dollars. I once again told him about his mishap and he just went on rambles about how he only owed me 500. And that the 500 withdrawn the second time didn't actually happen, but I can pull up my bank statement right now and clearly see that he still took an extra 500 dollars out. Living around a marine base it is very frustrating to find a good auto repair shop that doesn't try and take advantage of service members. It is a shame. My friend that took his car in at the same time was trying to get work done on his car. And they said they could have the work he wanted done be finished by the time he gets out of the marines, this Friday. And after he already paid, a few days later we came back and then said they wouldn't have the work done. This auto shop seems like a very shady business and would like to raise awareness to anyone else that will hear.Desired SettlementI want the 500 dollars that the owner, [redacted] owes me. And want awareness of this incident be known to anyone thinking of going there.Hello, I Sent a complaint about D&S towing and auto repair about 3 weeks ago.
