On Tuesday, July 28th my receptionist called me to tell me that a client called and said her daughters pink came out of her hair, she asked which stylist should she put it in with I said *** since she was the one who did itI had called on Wednesday July 29th to speak with the mother and
explain what will happen (product charge) I left a message and did not hear back from them. On Friday July 31tst (the day of her appointment) I had called the mother again to explain so there was no surprises when they came inThe daughter answered and I asked her what happenedShe stated all the pink came outSo I said it does happen with these trend colorsPink is very hard to keep in especially in the summerI then suggested she should get a different color (purple or blue) which would hold probably longerI also stated that it will be just $for product charge and that if she wanted her hair blowdried it would not be included in that price since I was not charging her for stylist time just productShe said okShe came in and my stylist began to consult with her and just confirmed with her it would be a $just for the productThe girl then said I have to call my momThe mom in turn called the salonMy receptionist got me right on the phoneI then tried to explain to the mother that I was not charging her for stylist time just for the productShe did not let me get any words in to explain anythingAt the desk with me was the stylist and the receptionist to which I kept making sure I was saying exactly what the stylist had told the daughterIn everything I do I make sure my words are right so if her daughter heard "stylist" talking these were the people who were talkingWe would never say anything about a client let alone a childI have and still do work with children so I respect them as I would adultsAs the mother kept talking (still not letting me get any words in) she then told me she is blasting me on the internet and then sending me to the Revdex.comI then stated that was not necessary and the owners (which are my parents) will be more than will to speak with herIn a harsh voice she told me to get her daughter out of the salonI said ok and she hung upI walked over to her daughter took the cape off (not harsh might I add) and said i'm sorry your mother would like you to leaveShe apologized to me and my stylist and leftI do not appreciate someone yelling at me and telling me i'm unprofessional when I was trying my hardest to explain our industryWe go to school for this and are trained professionals that know what we are talking about This situation had me extremely upset and still hasI run this business very professional and stand by every product I useMy mother (who has cancer) left me to run this business and trained me how to do soIf the mother wasn't so unwilling to listen and have me explain this would have been a different outcomeMy stylist before doing services on her child explained to her how this would come out knowing she lives at the shore and is at the beach and pool (stated by client)Chemically treated hair in the summer is not easy to deal withIt gets put through a lot in the summerWe as stylist have no way of knowing how a client takes care of their hair when they leave us
