We understood that the [redacted] 's MercedesBenz was completed late due to the fact that first transmission we ordered was defective and had to wait longtime to get the second oneFinally it was ready and she picked up the car but she brought it back the second time for leaking transmission fluidWe checked the vehicle and unfortunately the front seal on the transmission was leaking, so we were going to replaced the seal (transmission häd to be removed again) but came to found out front pulp bushing damaged so we couldn't just replaced the sealTransmission was still under warranty from the company we bought from, so we contacted them, let them know What was going on and they told us they will find another one and send it to usI was contacting them every week to find out what was going on and how long more before we can get another transmission, then they told us they couldn't find any other transmission so they told us if we get another transmission from other Company, they wil give uthe refund for the bad transmission they sent to usEven after that time we had hard time locating anothertransmission but finally finish the jobI called [redacted] right away told her the vehicle was ready and she came to pick it up the following weekI got a phone call from her after she picked up the vehicle, she was saying something not right with the transmission so I told her that I am sorry and when we test drove the car everything was fine and don't know why something happening now, but she was already little far away from the shop so she told me she was just going to take it home and let me know something later and we hung upI never got any phone call from her after about a week so I decided to call her and tried to find out what was going on, (four out later she talked to MrMoon, the owner) she told me she already talked to MrMoon and asked him for the refund and he refusedtold/offer her that I can pick up (tow) the vehicle from her house and if anything wrong, fix it and drop it back off the house since she was telling me things about how much money she had to spend to even get to our shop from where she lives(Baltimore)She told me 'no' as an answer, she just wanted to get the money backWe actually have to look at the vehicle to see its condition like it's really transmission issue or possibly something else or not a problem at all to even say anything at this point

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/03/11) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @yahoo.com vehicle was purchased on 01/26/16! Vehicle did have as/is displayed in window, as all of our cars on the lot ! On purchase date customer also was explained that the car is as/is and signed an as/is statement that is on file! Eleven days later customer did bring in another customer, to purchase another vehicle, on 02/06/16, customer stated how happy they were with the pathfinder, except a missing cover by the light, I told them I would get that for them since they brought me another customerWhich I did ! Customer returned a couple weeks later to get cover, and stated check engine light on , and had scanned at auto parts store, code catalyst efficiency low , that could be dirty sensors, sometimes injector cleaner will solve the problem, I also asked customer if it was running okay, they said yes, but talked as if I was gonna warranty year old used car with 184k on it and almost a month later! We tried to help with some shop time, and I didn't charge for the dollar bottle of cleaner, she did come in for a scheduled appointment for us to check the backlighting in the gauge cluster, which we did and they were working fine, customer stated sometimes its only when its cold outside and they come on when cab warms inside after she gets going! Altho she may or may not have dash backlighting problems, that has nothing to do with a check engine light, (ask a mechanic) She left happy and thanked us, there was no part ordered, We told her we could get a used gauge cluster and change out if it gave her more trouble, (all because we were trying to provide customer service after the sale altho car was AS IS PERIOD! Also we sell cheaper high mileage used cars,There is no way to RIG a car so the check engine light doesn't come on for almost a month, also our State inspector is here monthly checking our shop and service! Customer was allowed test drive, purchased vehicle, signed as/is, etcand now claims we did them wrong, I hope they find a place to buy cars from in the future that will treat them better than I have tried to! Some people cant be satisfied and are very unrealistic in their expectations in a used car !!! As far as the lady they brought up to purchase traverse, I have yet to hear from her , altho was told by 1st customer that her power steering pump went out and she was stranded, power steering pumps are a wear item on vehicle, and not difficult to replace, and vehicle can be driven without power steering! It was also two weeks later when I was told of this! Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2016/03/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) First, it was 1/29/16 that I went back and said service engine soon light on. He then hooked it to diagnostic machine and said, it was sensor do to putting to much gas in. Had the transmission flushed, always do that on vehicle purchased cause don't know when done last. The shop put on diagnostic machine and said it was 02 sensor and catalytic converters. Went back to place of purchase, and told them what was going on,was told by them, they would help out anyway they could. Had to take it to another place to have 02 sensor changed. THERE WAS NO AS IS on window of car,and most cars there don't have them. took the pathfinder back to them 5 times to talk to them bout issues with it. We asked them to explain why it had new exhaust, up to converters but converters were not changed. The mechanic said,"I don't know but, find someone to punch them out, then when time for reinspection, bring it back here and we'll pass [redacted] I thought that was illegal, I did take it back on 2/24/16 because only half dash lights worked until vehicle warmed up. By time I got it there it was warm and lights were working. I explained this to them and they told me they could order a cluster to change it out. I said ok and asked how much, they quoted me a price and mechanic said he would orer it that day. The owner said, when they changed out the cluster, it would change the mileage and if I wanted to keep track of miles I'd have to write it down. I never heard back from them on the cluster, which changing mileage was illegal also. I told him upon purchase of vehicle that, every 2 wks I'd be going to Joplin to see my kid's, told him I needed a dependable vehicle. He assured me it was and that he drove it back and fourth to Branson couple of times. He said if I had any problems bring it back. On 2nd day of having it, service engine soon light came on, I was in Joplin seeing my kid's. That was 1/27 to morning of 1/29/16, when I got back into town on 1/29/16, I stopped by there that's when they said it was sensor do to putting to much gas in. Every time I took it back, he humhaud around, the 3rd time of taking it back, he put Lucas gas treatment in and said, that would fix the problem. Well, it didn't fix the problem, had I have known how this vehicle purchase, and dishonest the company would be, I'd never have done business with them. I think he knew all the problems it had as well as his mechanic, but because I paid straight cash, I feel like I was lied to from the get go. He just saw the money, not the customers, I trusted him that this was a good vehicle.

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2016/03/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I am happy with having the pathfinder, it is the car I wanted. I was not happy with having to take it back two days after purchasing it,because service engine soon light came on. I didn't like the way I kept getting the run around. He did tell me he would do what he could to help,I have him on recording saying so. No, I did not tell him he was being recorded. I was not happy with having to take it back a total of 5 to 6 time's, or the fact that in less than one month, I had it to 2 different shops. I did on signing papers, sign at bottom of Bill of sale the part that says as is. There was no as is in window of the one I bought. The one that's supposed to be in window, is to be filled out by car lot and given to customer. I do have pictures of car's from there that my stepson wanted to see if it was a car he would have been interested in buying. There was no as is in window of the one's in pictures. The fact that we was told to find someone to punch out the converters and bring it back to them and they will pass ** for inspection, was wrong. Telling me that, the bottle of Lucas would take care of every thing was wrong as well. Oh, I have that on recording also. It's not right to knowingly sell a vehicle that has been monkey rigged, if they had properly inspected it, they would have known that the exhaust pipes were changed to make it look as if all new system was put in. I don't like being lied to, nore taken for being dumb. When licensed mechanics tell you that, there was no way they couldn't have noticed. And further more, I don't know that I could trust the vehicle to California and back as he says. He's not the one having to have it worked on.

We understood that the [redacted]'s MercedesBenz was completed late due to the fact that first transmission we ordered was defective and had to wait longtime to get the second one. Finally it was ready and she picked up the car but she brought it back the second time for leaking transmission...

fluid. We checked the vehicle and unfortunately the front seal on the transmission was leaking, so we were going to replaced the seal (transmission häd to be removed again) but came to found out front pulp bushing damaged so we couldn't just replaced the seal. Transmission was still under warranty from the company we bought from, so we contacted them, let them know What was going on and they told us they will find another one and send it to us. I was contacting them every week to find out what was going on and how long more before we can get another transmission, then they told us they couldn't find any other transmission so they told us if we get another transmission from other Company, they wil give u5 the refund for the bad transmission they sent to us. Even after that time we had hard time locating another. transmission but finally finish the job. I called [redacted] right away told her the vehicle was ready and she came to pick it up the following week. I got a phone call from her after she picked up the vehicle, she was saying something not right with the transmission so I told her that I am sorry and when we test drove the car everything was fine and don't know why something happening now, but she was already little far away from the shop so she told me she was just going to take it home and let me know something later and we hung up. I never got any phone call from her after about a week so I decided to call her and tried to find out what was going on, (four out later she talked to Mr. Moon, the owner) she told me she already talked to Mr. Moon and asked him for the refund and he refused. told/offer her that I can pick up (tow) the vehicle from her house and if anything wrong, fix it and drop it back off the house since she was telling me things about how much money she had to spend to even get to our shop from where she lives(Baltimore). She told me 'no' as an answer, she just wanted to get the money back. We actually have to look at the vehicle to see its condition like it's really transmission issue or possibly something else or not a problem at all to even say anything at this point
