Response:

We have reviewed the complaint ID 9[redacted] submitted to the San Diego Revdex.com.

The customer submitted the following complaint:

Ordered a "two-door" gate. Active door was fine. The passive door was cut very poorly. Straight lines were very wavy. One door does not match other door.

1. The customer submitted this complaint on 8-22-13.

a. This gate was shipped on 5-30-12.

b. This complaint was submitted 1 year 3 months after the customer received the order.

2. The customer emailed photos of the gate to us August 2013.

a. The customer emailed photos that were zoomed in very tightly.

b. Photos taken this close do not show accurate images and exaggerate the real image.

3. This double gate was cut with CNC Plasma Metal Cutting.

a. Heat is generated in the cutting process.

b. There are slight variances in cutting due to the nature of the metal, heat and cutting method.

These are normal variances in plasma metal cutting.

c. The photos he emailed show normal variances in the cutting.

4. The customer states that the gates do not fit together properly.

a. The gates were fabricated according to the measurements and design the customer approved.

b. If the gates do not fit, the customer either provided inaccurate measurements or installed the gate incorrectly.

We have fabricated and shipped thousands of gates and have never had any complaints from customers previously.

Based on the above information, we have concluded that the gate is an accurate fabrication.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The plasma cutter was too close to the metal during the process altering the path of the cutter. This has been verified by a local metal works company after they inspected the gate. The photo is not distorted in any way. I have many more pics to show the wavy lines. The installation went without issue. The gates fit together just fine. The passive door is just cut poorly. Period. This may be why [redacted] refused to accept any of my correspondence prior to your involvement in this situation. If further photographic evidence is required, I would happy to supply more. Over half of the lines on the passive gate are wavy, while the active gate is virtually flawless. This is not a "variation". 004.JPG is the poorly cut gate. 008.jpg is the properly cut gate. This is a mistake. A mistake that the DaVinci folks do not want to correct.

Regards,

Business
