Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:No resolution was provided in the response. I, too, was able to work backwards from the total on the invoice to find the number of hours that were charged to my invoice. This was expressed in prior emails and questioned and this is the first time the owner or manager has agreed with my math. Can these hours be verified that they were indeed applied to our job and not to another client's job?  The number of hours seems excessive when reviewing the jobs listed on the invoice, particularly since I was at the work site at different times each day for the 2 weeks and only ran into workers once during that time. Questions posed prior to the Revdex.com complaint still have not been answered, as well: How was the electrical outlet plate re-aligned -with fingers or was the inside electrical parts adjusted? I did not notice any holes in the garage walls that the invoice purports were patched. Where were they? How big were they? Replacing the flourescent lights in the garage was done separately from all the other jobs and it is curious that that service's cost cannot be estimated. The invoice also states the service, "REPLACED BATHROOM DOOR" was provided, which would include hanging, refitting the hardware, fitting in the door jam, and painting to match existing doors. [redacted] had explained this to me and we had decided together that this would not be done, but that the hole would be patched and the replacement door which was in the garage would be placed in the attic for storage instead. REPLACED BATHROOM DOOR was a service that was not provided yet appears on the invoice. If you are not able to track the hours worked or what was done in those hours, how do you plan on refunding the amount that was charged for this service that was not provided?
Regards,

I have attached examples of past invoices provided to clients that I have served for the last 33 years. There has not been any great changes made to my simple system. The quality of service has been the focus of my efforts in giving my clients affordable maintenance of their properties. The...

difficulty in giving a detailed report of time spent for every task when there were 4 men on that job, each turns in total hrs. per day, until all items on the work order are completed. It is unreasonable to ask that they record how much time is spent on each task. It is  not possible to separate the time spent for each task when more than one person works on the same task on more than one day. In some cases it would take more time to write down the time it took to do a task than to do the task itself.  All of my contracts are verbal. My labor is $60.00 1st hr. & 40.00 per man hr. per day. For my regular clients, some of which I have served for over 20 years, I still bill $60.00 1st hr. & $30.00 per man hr. per day.  I do not charge for the time I spend in providing service to my clients even when I am personally working to complete tasks on a work order. I had 1 to 4 men on this job for 5 days.  67hrs x$30.00 = $2010.00 + 1hr. x $60.00 = $2070.00 labor billed.  I regret that there is a compatibility problem with our systems but I am unable to reconcile them.  [redacted]

Dear  [redacted], the cover plate was removed with a screwdriver & the outlet screws loosened to move the outlet, then tightened & cover plate installed. The holes were by the hot water heater, there was 7' long scratch type damage caused by the trash cans plus a few nail holes.  The cost of garage light bulb replacement would vary. If done as a separate job there would be $ 60.00 labor 1st hour & $ 30.00 each additional hour. I bill by 1/4 hours after 1st hour. If done as part of a list the labor could be as little as $ 7.50. The light bulbs cost about $ 6.00 each plus tax I don't know if there were more than 2 bulbs in that fixture. Because there was not a separate work order the light bulb change out was probably bill @ $30.00 per hour. I hope this information helps. Thanks [redacted]
