Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,

In response to this complaint here are the following FACTS1. Customer states he was quoted over the phone a price of $79 to tint his 4 door vehicle.  Fact is that the lady who quoted him the price quoted $279.  The "lady" is my daughter who has worked for our company for over 20 years and...

had sold the particular window film this customer purchased for over 6 years. The window film the customer is complaining about has been priced at $279 for the past six years.  For the past 6 years the 3M color stable film this customer purchased is the only film we have offered and we have never sold this to be installed on a four door car for $79.  2. Customer states that the prices are not posted in the office or work space.  This is a fact.  However, the prices are posted on our website which clearly reads for the 3M color stable film this customer purchased and the only film we offer..."for most four door passenger vehicles this films sells for $279.99". (daddystintandalarm.com)  Daddy's has only sold this one particular brand and grade of window film for the past six years.  This film has an industry wide suggested retail of $279 for a 4 door vehicle.  This can easily be verified online or with a phone call to any of our competitors who are authorized dealers of this same 3M window film.  The price of window film is not posted in our office or workspace simply for the sake of confusion.  We have found in the past with "general" posted prices for window tinting on vehicles when there are exceptions to the prices due to additional labor or any other factor outside of the general guidelines it is too confusing to customers who fall into those categories.  We are a family owned business where only a family member deals with the sales on the phone or in person.  By this I mean only myself, my daughter or my son answer the phone and quote prices.  We do this to eliminate any confusion a customer might encounter.  3. Customer negated to inform the Revdex.com that he opted for a windshield strip at the cost of $29.99 for his vehicle.  This is a 5"x55" (approximately TWO square feet) strip of film applied to his front windshield.  This is mentioned because he in person was told about the cost and size of this optional film and agreed to it.  It is impossible for us to believe the customer could have in any way believed he was only paying $79 to tint his entire car with film on six windows measuring OVER 23 SQUARE FEET which is  TWELVE times the amount of film he was paying $29 for.  This in of itself seems to prove the customer is attempting to use the Revdex.com to help him get something at a lower cost than he agreed to pay. 4.  Customer offers to resolve this complaint he will agree to meet us "half way" in between the price of $279 he paid and $79 what he claims he thought he was told it would cost.  This is an absurd request for someone who truly believes they agreed to only pay $79 for a service but is now willing to pay MORE than what he claims we told him just so that this complaint can be resolved.  It doesnt make any sense.  This complaint does not affect him in any way, why would he be willing to pay an ADDITIONAL $100 for it to go away?  This "offer" is a clear cry out that he wants to accept some level of responsibility that he may not have understood the price he was quoted and thus in that responsibility he is willing to pay an additional $100 to resolve the issue.  It is obvious evidence that he is simply seeing if his complaint will earn him any amount of money.  In his terms he is offering to agree to $179 as the price, or hope that Daddy's will send him a check for $100.  It simply and obviously is ridiculous.  No person who actually and authentically felt duped would settle for anything other than what they claimed the agreed terms were.  Again it impossible to believe someone who authentically feels they were subject to a bait and switch scheme would agree to pay more than they thought they were being quoted for a service to be done.Daddy's Tint and Alarm absolutely denies that this customer was quoted $79 to tint his four door car and refuses to be pressured into offering the customer any sort of refund simply because the customer has made a complaint to the Revdex.com.  We would like to remind the Revdex.com that we have been in business for over 20 years and have NEVER used the bait and switch scheme.  We would also like to inform the Revdex.com that we ONLY carry ONE brand and grade of window film for the main reason of NEVER offering a low price over the phone and then offering UPGRADES once the customer arrives at our business.  This practice is done by 99% of the window tinting shops in San Antonio, Daddy's prides itself in being the ONE shop that does not offer upgrades in quality of films by simply and ONLY selling the top of the line 3M film.  We invite the Revdex.com to research our website's window film section where we CLEARLY explain the window films that 3M produces and that we ONLY offer the top of the line 3M film.  We explain why we do not offer the lower grades of 3M film AND we even post the suggested retail prices for all films 3M produces.  In comparison to this customer's claim that we quoted $79 for a four door car, even the LEAST EXPENSIVE 3M film sells for $149, which is clearly posted on our website.   This customer has made a completely INVALID complaint and we trust the Revdex.com will continue to protect our business from such harassment.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter[redacted]Daddy's Tint & AlarmSan Antonio, TX
