It is hard to believe that the DCFCU operates under any Federal Regulation I have been a member for years and have never received such horrible service I had my year old son join just as my dad did with me when I was He experienced fraud on his account to the original tune of about $350, I told him not to worry that's why we bank with the credit union and they will protect him Boy was I wrong He called the number on the back of his card as soon as he noticed it to report We went in to the credit union-Kendall Branch (worst ever) to get him a new card Thinking everything was resolved and that his money would be restored in days..we foolishly felt secure Not even three days after receiving his new card his account was frauded again..all charges were under $just as before Again he called in the fraud charges and we went back up to the bank and even spoke again to [redacted] at DCFCU She could not explain how the charges appeared again on his new number but advised she would follow up with me but after two weeks never did I contacted her she advised they were working on it meanwhile my son has no access to his account Again no follow up and after reaching out to her numerous times and and calling the Assistant Branch Manager [redacted] FIVE yes FIVE times, I did not get a responseFinally [redacted] called me back only to advise they were still working on it, I let her know that she should have called me to advise and that I should not have had to track her down In fairness after voicing my dissatisfaction she did follow up with me regularly She told me to shutdown the account but I first needed to wait until the money was restored to his account (which means during that time my son still does not have access to his account) Meanwhile DCFCU uses a third party vendor to process their fraud cases...in fact they advised that this is a new third party vendor they are using That vendor reached out to my son and asked him to provide an affidavit which we mailed After two weeks of waiting for the money to be returned we reached out to the vendor and they advised they had not received the affidavit We emailed it instead and it was received and they told us the credit union should be refunding his money within days After two weeks once again of waiting and having no access still to his account we went back to the Kendall branch and spoke with the Branch Manager [redacted] She was well aware of my son's account as [redacted] had kept her in the loop She advised that she needed to speak with the third party vendor and the fraud team because she did not see the the affidavit It was a Saturday and she said she would call my son on Monday [redacted] was true to her word and she called my son on Monday and left a voicemail that someone from the fraud team would be reaching out within two days On Tuesday, [redacted] reached out to my son and advised that he needed to open a case with Google which he did and that he would need to wait to hear back I was not around when she called however I took issue with what she asked him to do I work in the financial services division and these account have fraud protection and it is not dependent upon my son opening a case with the merchant with whom the fraud took place with Then she asked him to forward Google's findings to her...again here is where I question the Federal Regulation as he is being asked to forward private account info or forward a confidential email to her does not seem at all ethical So we called her back and she advised that she could not speak to me as I was not on the account I can understand that ..however if my son has been properly identified and gives permission for her to speak to me on the call it is authorizedCase in point if we called in to the customer service desk and same case scenario then they will and have spoken to me once authorized Again where is the Federal Regulation- you cant just make up rules when you are a bankI told her that I will visit the bank today and have him add me to the account and she advised that she would not be able to speak with me regarding anything prior on the account Totally an untrue statement in fact customers can fall ill or add the spouses at anytime and from that point the authorized person has access to all faucets of the account Why is [redacted] making up the rules and how is this allowed by a federally regulated bank? So in this ridiculous call I had to tell my son the question so that he could in turn ask [redacted] and then give him my response to tell her In the end [redacted] said she found it suspicious that there were over some odd one dollar charges- my son's response via me was he found it suspicious that the bank did not catch it earlier...how could they allow plus small charges go through the account within a matter of a week I also advised through my son that that's usually how fraud works the perpetrator will try and put through as many small charges as possible to fly under the radar until the card gets shutdown...bigger question why am I having to explain this to her..she works in fraud and we are the victims, she should know this Secondly she said why did he wait so long to report the fraud- charges were first made 9/he called to report it as soon as his card was denied and he logged onto his account on 9/ Is less than two weeks a long suspicious amount of time??? He had this account for almost a year maybe longer and this has never been the characteristic of his spendI strongly feel that this is age discrimination and that my son is being discriminated against It has now taken close to months since we originally filed the fraud case and to date he still does not have access to his account and his money has not been returned [redacted] said she would call back within hours If his money is not restored by then my next steps are to file an official complaint with the Revdex.com, email ***/ [redacted] / [redacted] then cc [redacted] CEO and every board member who responds to my Linked In request, then research how to file an Unfair Practice complaint through the Federal Bank Regulatory Board Its a shame that it has now come to this just to get my son's hard earned money back My advise to anyone reading this is BEWARE if DCFCU can't protect and restore $how will they protect your money!!!

Account over drawn when I had the funds in the account I made a cash deposit on 11/26/for the Amount of dollars I use my debit card make purchases for the amount in put in the bank I received overdraft the same day when the funds was available the bank hit me with over draft for eachI called the number to speak to someone to look into my account they made seen as if was my faultWhen it actually wasn't I would like to be funded back my money for these overdraft fees they charging me for

3/tax refund check posted to account XXXXXX; 3/tried to obtain cashiers checks unable to do so - check returned to IRS Tax refund check posted to checking account via ACH deposit on 3/with funds being available On 3/25, I went in the withdraw $cash and a cashier's check for $(to be placed in my husband's name) My husband and I have separate accounts I was given the $cash that indicated an account balance of $My job's direct deposit was issued on 3/ I was abruptly informed by the teller (Senayda) that she cannot issue a cashier's check to me as the tax refund check was in my and my husband's name (joint filing) She immediately removed the funds from my account as being available I requested the manage (Mario) who validated what she did and said it was policy to check deposit (ACH) prior to issuing funds This was not done prior to issuing the $cash I was left with $400+ in my checking account I requested to see the banks statue/polic

Overdraft Fee: Last week DCFCU had system maintanence issues online and mobile app, due to this reason I could not log online to view or transfer any money from my accounts because DCFCU locked my account from loggin online or via the mobile app, therefore I should not be charged $overdraft feeIt's not my fault that there system wasnt working and that I couldnt log online to see how much money I had or if I had to transfer any moneyI was locked out of my account and couldnt do anything over the weekend until MondayPlease reverse and give me back my $

I deposited a persoal check from my Chase account into my Credit union account When I attempted to pay my rent on 2/12, I realized that the savings balance was showing as $ Since the credit union is near my job, I went into the branch and was told that the check was on hold, I could not do anything about it AND that it would be released on 2/ I caled the credit union today (2/16/16) and was told that the chack will not be cleared until 2/22/due to te amount hey won't even clear it partially This is rediculous that they hold people's money for such a long time ESPECIALLY when it was a personal check My bank cannot reverse the deposit and the Credit Union only have gave me the option of going to Homestead, FL to see if the Branch manager can clear the check sooner...I work and I do not have the time to take off and do this

I've been a member for almost years nowThe branch near my home was shut down weeks after I joinedThe other branch locations are few and far awayThe ATM's always seem to have some sort of problem where they are down, inoperable, out of order, out of serviceThis seems to happen more often after pay day(I'm a county contracted employee)It's as if DCFCU fears there will be a run on the money and make it difficult to withdraw using ATM's right after pay dayCustomer service phone reps are not very professional, knowledgeable or helpfulAh, one ugly incident involved an overdraft chargeAfter 3-years of good standing I had one charge a day before my direct deposit paycheck "bounce." Every other banking institution will refund the $as a gesture of good will and to keep the customer happyNot so hereA manager was not available, "that's not our policy, you should have money in there " all the obvious stuff but no flexibility or effort to keep the client happyThe only positive thing about this horrible wanna be bank with awful customer service that often feels like I'm at the DMV are the occasional young kids working as tellers who are polite and try to be helpful

I believe DCFCU has billed me for charges on a loan which has resulted in me being over charge for a vehicle I purchased from the dealer for 30,
On 4/24/I obtained a car loan for a Lexus EThe car cost 30,and then DCFCU tacked on various fees for Gap Insurance and a service agreement of which I was adamant I did not wantThis I guess brought the loan to 31,with the credit unionAdditionally I was being debited a monthly charge for CUNA Mutual InsuranceLuckily I noticed this charge and questioned it after about a year later when I realized that my loan was getting hire not lower after I paid my monthly PaymentAfter having to go in to the branch several times, I finally got someone to take my complaint serious and give me the paperwork to cancel this fee of which they claim I asked forUnfortunately this was just the start of the nightmare with this credit unionToday after trying unsuccessfully to find out how long the repay terms of my loa

I opened account with this credit union to get auto loanSuper bad customer service, they don't follow up with customer I am the one who is paying them back with interest and l am the one who is running after them
Definitely needs new leadership Company needs New Management

I've been a member now for yearsI avoid entering the downtown branch at all cost even though it's across the street from my officethe customer service su...! What a hassle to deposit a checkI received a SBA loan check with both my and my mother's name on itBoth us have the same address and both of us endorsed the checkThey refused to deposit the checkI went next door to Bank of America where I have another account and deposited the check in two minutesCan't wait to pay off my car loan so I can CLOSE this accountI do not recommend the DCFCU to anyone
