Normally, I file my own taxes. However, I was interested in an advance so I decided to let American Tax file mine this year. I was informed that they can do the advance and I get it THAT day. PERFECT! With that being said,the Agent prepared my 2019 taxes. She showed me what would be refunded to me and their five hundred and something fee(can't remember exactly) I thought it was a bit pricey but I went ahead anyways! Next, she ask if I wanted the $1000.00 or $3000.00 advance. Of course, I said $3000.00. Why not? So, she handed me my paperwork and thanked me. So, I asked where is the advance? She replied,? it will be about a hour because the bank had to approve it.? Sounds strange because I've had an advance with another company and they know immediately! Okay, maybe they different. Anyways, 3 hours passed! I didn't hear anything from her so I gave her a call. She informed me that the bank went down and she will give me a call in the morning! She phoned me that next morning and told me the check was ready. After she informed me, I politely asked, when did the bank go down? And when did you know'? She replied nervously, um um what time did you come in? Stuttering! Immediately, I knew she wanted to give a time frame after I left because I only filed to get the advance THAT DAY! So, I humbly replied, I'm not sure. She replied stuttering, ? it went down right after I sent yours through'. I replied, 'Okay'in disbelief! I went to receive the advance and let her know I wasn't happy with the situation! Two weeks later, she called and said the remaining refund was ready!
It was like $1000.00 Short! So, I returned to question the negative. She said the refunded amount on my paperwork is not what I'm suppose to get back and they charged me nine hundred and eighty something dollars because I got the $3000.00 advance! I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THAT! I would NEVER PAY A THOUSAND OF MY MONEY TO GET THREE THOUSAND!! I think this need to be looked into.I can only imagine if this has happened to others that's unaware

Billing Adjustment I NEED MY COINS! And they need to investigate!
I have meet with the client she has all of the paperwork she signed. I showed the client all of her fees with the 3,000 advance loan taken out if the client didn't want to file with me the only thing she had to say was that she didn't want to file with me. The client got her 3,000 advance in January and she the remaining balance of her refund in February. Her refund was not short it was exactly what she was supposed to get with our fees and the 3,000 dollars taken out before her 2nd payment. My boss has already been in contact with her about this matter. I told my client that I have no control over our bank I told her that the bank was shut down do to some technical issues and that I would call her first then in the morning next day and I did that. She cashed the advance check in January and the other refund check in February so if there was a problem she should have not cashed the check and asked to speak to my boss immediately.

Yes, I signed the paperwork! She showed me a different amount on the computer screen which I agreed to! However, I didn't look over the paperwork (my fault). They suppose to be a service FOR ME! I trusted that everything was okay so I signed the paperwork! When I finally realized I was charged $1000 dollars I called and ask for the manager information at the Alex city office they said she said she would contact me but NEVER did so I went back to the place of business with the local police because she threatened to call them the last time I was there so I brought them with me and that's when I was able to finally speak with the manager on the phone! She informed me that they don't even charge for the advance. All she keep saying is I shouldn't have signed the paperwork or cashed the check! I trusted that the paperwork matched with what I was shown and I cashed my check because I needed my money which is THE ONLY reason I filed with her anyways is to get my advance that I didn't even get the same day like I was told! The whole situation was a lesson learned and WHAT GOES UP, MUST COME DOWN!
