My complaint is multifaceted in nature. I brought in a pair of tires that I requested to be mounted. I had a very specific request that the wheels receive no damage. The wheels had zero [cosmetic] flaws at this point. The employee could/should have denied service; instead, both wheels received damage. Wheel 1 received multiple scratches along the outer perimeter of the center cap, as well as flaked paint around the axle bore. It also has a slight nick along the barrel. Wheel 2 has a paint chip on the spoke, as well as other minor nicks surrounding it. Cosmetic damage aside, the wheel was not properly balanced. There is a gross overuse of wheel weights due to the improper alignment of the yellow, balancing marker.

He brought pair of rims and tires(already assembled) plus two used tires to ask us swab tires. Tires on rim were worn out completely and rims were pretty dirty. However we swabbed tires with care since he kept watching what we are doing in our work site. Job done, he paid for that. He came back an hour later to ask for money on scratch on the rim(this scratch can’t be caused by tire mounting work). So we said NO. I would say this is the hungry guy. You have to investigate the rim and tire conditions.

I am rejecting this response because:It's simply untrue. I didn't watch, or oversee, the work being done. I sat down in the waiting chair, which is out of purveiw of the area used to mount tires. The condition of the tires is irrelevant, but that is also untrue. I did pay for the service, but only because I did not see the damage at the time. I was hungry for lunch that part is true; I came back after having lunch to discuss the damage. As mentioned -in writing- before, the wheels were in immaculate condition when brought in, albeit they were covered in brake dust. I was too lazy to clean the wheels before I bringing it in. I have sinced used my own money to restore the wheels back to their original condtion. I can provide receipts. If I were "hungry" then I wouldn't have the financial ability to do so. The point of this operation is to bring to light the type of business conduct Mr. operates with. After my intial contact with Mr., I fully expect this type of behavior and denial from him.

I got another your letter dated Aug 06, 2016 This customer brought a couple of used rims (tires are mounted on the rim and tires are completely worn out) and usable used tires to our shop. He asked us to swab tires. We quoted the price at $30 in total. He okayed the price. We allowed him to watch our job performance. To protect the rim, we put the tape on the rim edge and mounted the tires. After job done, our tire technician showed him tires mounted on the rim. He said it’s good. And he left. He came back to us an hour later to complain rim scratch (very small scratch on the rim spoke area, not rim edge. Usually scratch can come on rim edge, not rim center). He water washed the dirty rims when came back, and asked us to repair it ( 2 millimeter round type spot, looks like it got hit by very small size rock on the road). We said NO without hesitation since this is not totally reasonable.My complaint to Revdex.com is why you don’t investigate the physical rim. Why we have to respond to this kind of unreasonable complaint. I would say again this is the hungry trying to extort money here and there, the reasons are;1. He watched our job performance 2. We showed him after job done and got okay 3. Why he bring them back after water washing the dirty rims4. Why he doesn’t show you rims5. Why he does not get thirty party opinion.Thanks

I am rejecting this response because:
Essentially, everything Mr. makes claim to is a lie. I had already gone over most ot the points he's mentioned in my previous message. His claims as to the areas for potential damage are false. I did not oversee his employee's work. I payed the amount, but was not happy with the work. The employee mentioned damage to the center cap. I figured this was a situation where there's nothing I could do so I was willing to accept the damaged cap and move on. If it wasn't for the damage to the paint, I would not be writing this message. If Mr. does not make an offer for compensation at this point, I will move ahead with other means of recompense.
