Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

My fiancee, [redacted], and I have received a letter in the mail from DAF Contracting that states that they have begun to file a Mechanical Lien on our property for the amount of $86,380. Although we have not received a letter stamped by the Bronx Courthouse, DAF sent the certified letter on January [redacted] 2016. We will be forced to sue the company for their behavior and tactics against us as the consumer if the owner, [redacted], does not re-assess his position toward this case, considering all of the distress the company has caused [redacted] and myself. We have pictures/videos documenting the poor workmanship and management that they are responsible of doing on our property, and we have months of emails and corroborative letters from professionals and a former client that prove their claims are false and misleading. We had filed complaints with the city at various agencies concerning the way this company is practicing fraud and acting unprofessional. We are now in communication with attorneys and will continue to inform the Revdex.com as we proceed

Dear [redacted],DAF Contracting, Ltd was indeed hired by [redacted]or renovation of his newly purchased home. [redacted] needed to pay outstanding violations before closing on the property which we at DAF Contracting, Ltd agreed to pay off in arrangement for this loan to be paid monthly to us. Due...

to financial hardships he was unable to continue with agreed amount and we signed an agreement on September **, 2015 stating [redacted] will pay loan when he has the funds available. I have attached signed agreement.Work at homeowner’s property was “delayed” until August because as general contractors and Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations, we cannot start work with sketched drawings and were waiting for approved drawings. Drawings were approved on July **, 2015 which were picked up by us on July [redacted] when it became available. We forwarded drawing to our expeditor (same day) so we can obtain the proper permits to start work. Please note, to pull permit it takes approximately one to two weeks for the Department of Buildings to issue it. Our permit was issued on July **, 2015. I have attached evidence. When [redacted] requested a proposal (estimate) for work on his home he gave us sketches to base or prices on. Our contract clearly states “These estimates are according to the sketches initially provided to DAF Contracting, Ltd. Prices are subject to change once the final approved drawings are received”. He signed contract which we assume is because he agreed to our terms. [redacted] who we learned was [redacted]’s fiancée or girlfriend was always at the jobsite dictating orders to our subcontractors and asking personal questions. Onsite, she requested many changes and this is why work has been delayed numerous times. a. On August **, 2015 we at DAF Contracting Ltd, stopped work at [redacted]’s home due to the improper conduct [redacted] was engaging in. b. September *, 2015, the couple insisted to construct demolition to the basement (under our permit and license without permission). We stopped work again to clarify issues that concerned us as well as warned the couple of the illegality of working under our construction permit. c. September **, 2015, DAF Contracting spoke to the couple again pertaining to the changes they requested in their home which was not part of the contract. We needed to put a stop to the job due to nonpayment of agreement. [redacted] broke many promises and we refused to continue working until an agreement was made. [redacted] also violated many regulations and for the safety of our company and subcontractors we stopped working at [redacted]’s home. d. September **, 2015, [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and I, [redacted] sat at our office to come with some type of agreement and resolutions to arising issues. We came to the conclusion that [redacted] will stop talking to our workers, stop being a foreman, no verbal agreements and to speak to our office solely should any changes occur. We also clarified the original contract and came to an agreement of payments to violations which [redacted] couldn’t keep up with. (I have attached all documents).e. November **, 2015, [redacted] again insisted to dictate orders to our workers and demand more changes. Since it is our company permit pulled we have to follow specific rules and regulations so when we request a Department of Buildings inspector to come close out the permit there will be no issues. We sent [redacted] an email advising him about the new delays to the job because of [redacted]’s new toilet request. Both [redacted] and [redacted] were advised of the process in which it will take to get this system approved as well as the change order which may take place. At this time they were also reminded of the contract they signed to disengage from dictating orders to our workers and meddling in what we were hired to do. We asked that if any changes needed to be done to solely call the office, no verbal agreements.f. November **, 2015, we learned that the couple conducted demolition on the attic windows during the holidays. Again this was done without permission and under our permit. They made it a very unsafe place for our workers to work in as well as their community. We sent them an email about the severity of working under our permit and also stopped working in [redacted]’s home. This was the last we could take from the couple. We are professionals and we would like to keep our reputable reputation. I could not risk lawsuits from our subcontractors and the community should a window fall on someone’s or broken glass cutting our workers. For this reason we contacted 311 and placed a complaint ([redacted]) to protect ourselves should any occurrences arise. g. December *, 2015, an email was sent to [redacted] informing him of the dangers he put our workers and the community in. We were contracted by [redacted]or the renovation of his home. We have also paid $51,743.98 in outstanding violations so that he can own this home. Also DAF Contracting, Ltd generated a contract in the amount of $201,350.00 in order for the [redacted] to obtain a loan approval from the bank. We have tried our best to accommodate the couple in all their request. We have asked that they allow us to do our jobs as we have for many years. Over and over we asked that they repel from doing work under our permit and the consequences that may occur should they continue doing so which they disregarded. They continued to work under our insurance policy, under our construction permit as well as against Department of Building regulations without our knowledge. We take our work very serious and we needed to part from working at [redacted]’s home. On November [redacted], I ordered a stop work at his home and proceeded with taking legal actions.I have attached all email conversation as well as all evidence in response to [redacted]’s claim. This is not the route we wished to go but we will not be held accountable for the dangers [redacted] put us in as well as the community.
