They gaslight and ignore.
I have been very patient with them and gave business every opportunity to correct the problem. They failed to get back to me and now I am no longer waiting. I contacted immediately after warning light came on after they serviced my vehicle. They claim no responsibility and refuse to submit a claim. I will never go back as I believe the mechanics over estimate repairs and perhaps even misdiagnose in order to escalate labor costs. They have the worse time management and guests repeatedly wait with little communication. Plan to be for more than 2 hours even for a simple oil change.

I have touched base with the service advisor and the sales manager that have been involved with this situation since June. Unfortunately, the salesperson who worked with this guest is no longer employed by Dahl Automotive, so I could not verify the information with her.

Mr. [redacted]'s purchase date was June 6th, 2014. Dahl Automotive does not have a record of Mr. [redacted] bringing in the vehicle the very next day. However, if he did, it would be against policy to tell someone that there is nothing we could do about it and send him away. Every guest has 3 days to break their contract and 30 days to trade out of the vehicle they purchased for a different vehicle of the same value. The first record that Dahl Ford Lincoln has for Mr. [redacted] is January 2, 2015. Our service technician repaired a wire on the starter. It was not a 10 minute repair, as Mr. [redacted] states. The technician's time was recorded as over a 2-hour repair. The second time it was towed in was January 3, 2015. The starter was replaced and Mr. [redacted] was only charged the cost of the part and Dahl paid all the labor charges. The invoice was around $250 as Mr. [redacted] stated. The third time the vehicle was brought in was on January 15, 2015. The service department was unable to replicate his issue (the vehicle not starting) and the vehicle started every time. There was no invoice on that occasion. On January 22, 2015, Mr. [redacted] wanted to trade out of the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] had purchased the vehicle for $12,907. Dahl's Used Vehicle Manager appraised the vehicle at that point for $7000. The vehicle's mileage at the time of purchase in June was 61,792. The day of the appraisal, the vehicle's odometer read 76,874. So 15,082 miles had been put on the vehicle in just over six months. The bumper had a hole in it that was covered with duct tape. The vehicle had dents and scratches on the exterior and the interior was dirty. That was not the condition of the vehicle at the time of sale. The vehicle's value was dropped because of the mileage and wear and tear to the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] did not want to accept that evaluation and said he "would not take that big of a hit." On January 27th, the vehicle was brought in again for the same issue. Dahl took it to Pischke's service department in West Salem, WI. They were unable to replicate the issue. Dahl paid the invoice for the diagnosis fee, which was about $80. I believe the only other contact has been a phone conversation between Mr. [redacted] and the general manager of Dahl Ford Lincoln. I am not aware of the date or content of that phone conversation, other than an explanation of events thus far. I would imagine it was not resolved since we are giving a report of the situation to the Revdex.com of Wisconsin.

Please let me know if you need print-outs of the service records. Thank you!

Review: I purchased a 2011 dodge avenger for my daughter and the day we drove the car home the check engine light came on.the car was returned to dahl automotive the next day and was checked by the shop. They told us there was nothing wrong with the car and they could not do anything about it.after owning the car for a while, the car would not start and was towed to a local shop[p.e.r towing ###-###-####] they could not determine the reason why the car would not start and the starter and the wiring was not the problem.they could not figure out the problem with the car even with assistance from dodge.it was towed to where it was purchased at dahl automotive. there service department said it was a corroded terminal and burnt wire and cost me 250.00 for the 10 minute repair.we drove the car to a local business the same day and parked car for 15 minutes.when leaving the car would not start again, same problem. it was towed back to dahl automotive. a few days later I was called and told it was the starter and It was replaced for another 250.00.we picked up the car and drove home and a few days later it was not starting again.the next day I tried starting the car and it started. we took the car back to dahl and they checked it out and said they can't find anything wrong. I drove the car home and a few days later the same problem. we called dahl auto and a they sent a tow truck to bring to there service department, the car would not start for them and was told they can't fix. They said that I could get a different car for price I paid, later to learn they would not honor that deal.Desired Settlement: take car back for what is owed. equal exchange

Business promised a diagnosis and a phone call within two hours. After not hearing for six hours, I returned to their location to find they had completed the diagnosis and not bothered to call. Then I was told they could not complete the work that day but I would have to return the next day and pay for the use of the car that I had been told was a "loaner". Both their estimates for work not done and their charge for diagnosis (most of which I had already told them) were exorbitant. Manager promised to call me the next day after speaking to his mechanic, but now I have not heard from him and it has been eight days. I feel lied to and cheated
