I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10773062, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I am meeting with the owner on 9/4/to get my refundHe said he would need to swipe my credit card to issue the refundI told him that I was concerned he would cancel the refund after I left and requested cash, but he refusedIf the refund does get cancelled I will report back to the Revdex.com VIA [email protected] would also like to add that the company I hired to fix my damaged wheels confirmed with me today that the bulge in my tire was in fact caused by a tire mounting machine, not a manufacturers defectThe bead was torn and rubber from the tire was ripped offHe has the tire for me to pick up this weekend, so I can see it.I met with the owner on 8/17, not 8/as he stated and he did offer to refinish my wheels, BUT he only offered to refinish of the He also told me that if I took him to court and won my case that he wouldn't care because in the end he wouldn't pay the judgmentI think it is very unprofessional for an owner of any business to threaten their customers with a response like thatTo me that shows that you know you are guilty and only trying to scare me out of suing you.I do appreciate that the business is willing to give me a refund and I hope that this complaint and my online reviews will ensure that nothing like this ever happens again

Review: I took my car to the Dahlgren Garage at 8am on 8/14/15 for a mount & balance of my new tires that I provided & for a state inspection. I gave my keys to Louie and he followed me outside to get the tires. Louie looked them over, wheeled them over to the garage area and sent us on our way. At 1156am Louie called saying my car was ready. When I arrived they had forgot to do the inspection & Louie said "the inspector will do it as soon as he gets back from lunch". At 132pm I got a call that my car was ready, we picked It up at 150pm and my husband drove the car home. At 330pm we went to check the pressure of the tires & that's when we found a large gash in the right front wheel along with a bulge in the tire. I called the shop at 333pm & told Louie what we found. He said I needed to meet with the owner about it Monday morning. I called back at 346pm to inform him that we found similar damage on 2 other wheels & I offered to bring the car back to show them the damage, but I was told I would need to meet with the owner. I met with the owner at 8am on 8/17/15 & he denied that his tire mounting machine did the damage. He suggested that I had jumped a curb & that's what caused the damage. After some back and forth with the owner, he offered to have 2 of the 3 wheels refinished if I would pay for the 3rd. I then asked why the bulge in my tire was not brought to my attention & he suggested that his employee didn't notice it, but I suggested that it was because his employee didn't want to bring my attention to the damage on that wheel. I also noted that the tire with the bulge was the tire that was inspected for the inspection, so there is no way he didn't notice it, but He still denied their machines did the damage to the wheels or tire. In the last 4 days I've had 3 certified shops agree that the damage was in fact from a tire mounting machine. The owner said he didn't care what anyone else thought, he knows his machine didn't do itDesired Settlement: Since the owner would not replace my wheels as I requested, I had no choice but to file a claim with my insurance company. I would like a refund of the $80 I spent for the mount and balance, because it will have to be redone somewhere else once the damage Is fixed by my insurance company.
